I don't know about you guys, and have been away from league for a bit. Recently picked it up again. I keep seeing guides that say Renekton counters jax but it seems to me that it's almost the other way around since Renek's W doesn't go through counter strike anymore.
Baiting it hardly works since Jax has his leap and Renek's cooldowns are higher.
Suggestions on how you guys have been dealing with this match up?

360D3GR3SS2 votesLevel 1 jax would easily win a straight up fight with no other factors, however the following levels (yes even 6) Renekton has the potential to absolutely demolish jax in lane. I would say up until level 9 or 11 is when renekton will start having trouble with jax. As renekton you can bait out his Stun with your dash and auto attack then dash out. If he jumps on you wait for his dodge to wear off and stun him and since he will be in your minion wave you can win the fight here typically.

As long as you are good enough to block his W with jax you counters him

Syrio19891 votesRenekton top wins 45% game vs Jax top. So yeah, right now Jax counters Renekton more than the other way around. I feel like a lot of matchup you easily stomped before are now much higher risk lane (like Jax, GP etc.). Vs Jax I think that it's not only the stun change that makes it much harder to trade, but it's also the earlier power spike he gets from Rageblade, meaning you can only do good from lv 2 to lv 8-10, and not good enough to put him behind (20 more cs and 1-2 more kills isn't enough).
