Leona can dash with E while being rooted?

I know Leona can't use E while rooted. But suppose you root her at the same time as she E's. By the time her sword touches you, your projectile (for example Lux Q) also touches her and roots her. Why is she still able to dash on your effing face and root you?

Because extremely few dashes are actually stopped by CC, and only then it's by select CC.

It's the same reason that even if you root j4 he's still going to instanuke you.

Didn't they recently patch Ahri so that she can be CC-ed mid-dash? To keep things "consistent"? Leona should get this treatment too. For Jarvan it's apparently intended, but for Leona i'm pretty sure it's not. I mean LeBlanc gets rooted mid-dash as well. Pretty sure Fiora too.

No, they overbuffed ahri so that she could stop any champ mid dash. The only champ who gets stopped mid dash by any non-knock CC is Rakan with his W

Overbuffed is what we say when a champ becomes OP as a result, Ahri is not x)

And rather than a straight buff i am fairly sure it´s a nerf revert for quality of life purposes if i recall right, same deal as with Ashe.

And even if she needs nerfs i doubt removing that thing again would actually drop her winrate much at all.....might not do so even.

I think that wasn't making it so she can be CC'd mid-dash, and was actually to let her E stop dashes.

Leona's dash is more of a teleport if it makes sense. Same for Jarvan.
