Darius: Beating the CinderHulk Meta

So let's take a moment and Discuss the recent changes to Darius and how these small but subtle changes make him a worthy candidate to beat the Cinderhulk meta that has risen in league of legends.

Built in armor Pen: Darius naturally has built in armor penetration which makes it easier to force your damage through and with the recent changes to black cleaver it's simple to just "Q" auto "W" directly after and bam you've double stacked your cleaver and probably chunked 2/3 of there health while applying your passive.

The Dunk Town Express: The changes too his ultimate in recent patches not only make it easier to 2 v 1 with the regain of mana on killing blow with your ultimate and the added fact of having an additional 20 seconds to reuse it before it goes back on cooldown and that's before level 16 where you hit the "Space Jam" button and have 0 cooldown on your ultimate (be it that you can kill your target with it)

Lane bully: A simple note but he wins most lanes with his "Q" alone and can force most laners to waste early tp's to get back to lane or just flat out kill them before level 3 with ignite

Utility: He brings a lot to the table in terms of it with his "E" being able to force opponents into a neat clump for you to hopefully clean house with the rest of your team

So in summary these are my thoughts on Darius right now and why you should be picking him in your games to hopefully offset those meaty Cinderhulk junglers a bit. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

So those Cinderhulk champs tend to have a ton of HP which is known to be the means to counter true damage champs not named Vayne. Also Darius and his zero mobility is going to catch ADCs like Kalista/Jinx/Corki/etc how? They all either have insane range or strong eacapes/CC that completely shuts Darius down.

Cinderhulk junglers maybe strong but they are far from the only thing you have to take into consideration when picking a champ for the meta.

I completely agree, darius does struggle with reaching adc's and slippery enemies that can kite easy but you can't ignore the fact that for the most part a simple flash in and "q", "w" ult combo will insta kill most adc's for the most part. I think Darius has a lot of amazing strengths right now that i'm still looking into more. Darius

And all it takes after that flash is a Kalista passive, Graves E, Corki E, etc etc. So you blow a flash CD to try and get in range and they use a significantly shorter basic ability CD to completely avoid you.

Sadly Darius just isn't built to be good in metas with mobile ADCs. Maybe if one day we return to a meta with MF/Ashe/etc being viable he might make a return but sadly that seems unlikely.
