Is league starting to become unoptimized?

After the last few patches, I have noticed that my FPS in game has dropped very low. I have a gtx 970 and I used to be able to run league on 300+ fps uncapped. Since this latest patch the max I can get uncapped is around 130-140 which is below the 144 I usually cap my frames at. Anyone else having this problem? I just don't like magically losing over 200 potential frames after one patch. Some times those are needed Kappa.
