new interface... did nobody at riot think about dragon and baron...?

why are we rewarding bad players with a respond timer on dragon/baron? is the money they spend on riot points really that important to water down the game

why is riot lowering the skill cap required to do well in the game? there are supposed to be perks to killing dragon and baron.... a respawn timer. now that you've removed that bonus from whichever team that won it you successfully cater to the simple players inability to learn. please stop catering the games mechanics to bad players and stupids who get offended by everything.

There is a global sound effect and particle effect on all enemy champions when dragon dies. Everyone already knew the exact moment dragon died. Baron buff lasts exactly 3 minutes and Baron respawns in 4 minutes. Looking at the buff someone got told you EXACTLY when Baron respawned.

The timers being shown just saves an annoying piece of bookkeeping from being needed. The skill cap was not changed at all.

I detect a bit of salt.

Riot's argument here (and I agree with this one, although many game changes I don't agree with) is that there's no interesting gameplay mechanic in typing a timer into chat and having to scroll up to see it.

The biggest thing I'm against is making the timer/audio global. Before, when the sound could be heard if an enemy was visible on the map, it made sense - you would be able to tell they got dragon/baron anyway by looking at their buffs anyway, so why not just let everyone know in an easier fashion? I'd agree with the timer being set in that case too. But IMO the sound/timer should not get heard/set when no enemies are visible on the map.

Basically what's been said already. There is no skill to having to type when dragon went down in chat. It is neither a fun nor interesting mechanic, and creates pointless work having to scroll through chat to see when dragon is respawning. You still have to USE that timer which is where the skill and gameplay has always come in... we just previously had to scroll through chat if we needed to check when dragon went down.

You could hear when they died anyway, so it's simply a convenience thing.
