Lane calling a nightmare... Lag? Glitch? Intentional!?!?!?!? [First to arrive on scene :C]

Ok guys I've been having a really REALLY hard time calling my lane lately, when it comes to racing for that lane in the blind pick item 3070 item 3070 item 3070

TL;DR [ I'm ending up with a mid champion in some really obscure positions, VEIGAR TOP, VEIGAR SUPPORT, and you would think that it doesn't mean much as with the right intentions, Veigar ** Veigar can be played in those roles.**

My problem, as you can see from my image there, is that I'm calling Mid before everyone else joins, then when they join they do not see my call. I try to tell them many times that I have called Mid and I copy and paste to show them, but nobody believes me. ]

I've been called so many things, Asian (i assume for quickly editing the copy paste?), a troll (for "stealing" lane) and a moron for choosing Veigar as a sup when he needs to stack his q on a solo lane.

Can anyone understand my problem? (you get I'm not lying right?) Does anyone sympathize? (had this happen before?) Am I doing something wrong? (calling too quickly!?!?!?)

My solution so far has been to simply take my champion to the available role and just play on, and even though I have the wrong runes and masteries, I am winning some games. The worst part is all the abuse I'm getting for "ruining games" and for stealing lane. People seem to think I'm lying, people are REPORTING ME and I've been having those 20 min bans for 5 games because of it.

You might say the following:

"Don't lock in, change your champion, and accept that you have called too quickly lel"

  • Many times I do this and just suffer on.
  • Other times they will not communicate until I arrive on lane and they are like "wtf im mid REPORTED TROLL"
  • I have the wrong masteries etc. because I actually assumed at that point i was going to be a mid laner.

"Keep your mid lane and if they try to deny you that after you have copy/paste to prove it then it's their fault"

  • TRUST ME I started to do that a LOT and it just doesn't work.
  • The entirety of my team did not see my call and assume I edited the paste (which would be very easy I'll admit)
  • I get multiple reports for all sorts of things, offensive language, harassment, intentionally feeding.
  • I don't want the team to lose, I mean duo mid doesn't work for many reasons, you can use your imagination.

Also I'm honourable and I want people to enjoy playing instead of thinking I'm there to ruin their game.

The above 2 things don't work. My games are suffering when I'm essentially out of position. I can't tell them they are wrong because I'm the only one who can see it. I can't just take my lane because I get reported. Banned. Watching 20 mins go by so many times. I'm out of ideas. I'm sure that I deserve the lane yes? I called it first? There is no way currently to decide who gets what lane as it is blind pick and we all choose at once, so I think everyone goes with this method.

It's sad how you can classify roles through summoner spells.

If you want to play jungle, adc, or support go to teambuilder.

In blind pick just call it and instalock it, if they cry pull out the copy paste, if they still cry just say ok keep crying it's not like you cna report me and then mute them in game so you don't have to hear their whining.

I used to be nice in blind pick then I just met these people so I said fuck it and did the same thing they did.

It's not a glitch. I had adapted to a bad connection, so when I got a new computer (and later moved and got a better connection), I easily became the first caller in almost every lobby. It's just how the chat works. Riot needs to implement a summary of the chat before someone joined that is shown when they enter. Or add a lane calling button. But this isn't likely for several reasons: The possibilty of strategy diversity and the existence of Teambuilder, to just name 2.

It's the reason you'll only find me in Team Builder even if it is the breeding place of bad comps and shits and giggles. I played blind pick once and I called support (after 3 people called their roles) and the remaining person instalocks and I'm forced to jungle and die to red buff.

Yeah I hate how after 6 years riot still hasn't mastered the art of synchronous communication. A smart company would lock the chat and champ picks until everyone is in and then start the timer, and get rid of whatever wacky race condition makes it so 2 messages sent around the same time are displayed in a random order for each person. This would make champ select actually fair and call order can actually be a legitimate thing.

On a more serious note, why not try teambuilder?
