Beginner Tutorial
First time posting on the boards so forgive me if this is in the wrong location.
I have taught at least 6 people how to play league that still play today so far. Always recommend it to people for one simple reason, I love this game. However, in recommending this game to people there are always 2 reasons people end up not playing.
- They don't have time
- It has a really really really steep learning curve
Time isn't something we can fix but I feel like there could be a better more detailed tutorial for beginners. Maybe it's something built into the game that new players can opt to do and it teaches you basics like farming, tower/creep aggro, maybe even something about each of the champion classes. I know there are lots of 3rd party websites that offer coaching for a price but I'm talking about something a brand new player would find valuable that makes the huge learning curve of the game a little bit less scary. Riot, I would suggest implementing something along these lines. Even if you don't want to create something in game you could maybe have a tab that directed new players to Riot officially sponsored youtube videos for beginners or something of this sort.
I have a lot more friends who would be open to playing this game if something this existed. I know we all get annoyed with those amazingly simple tutorials that many of our favorite games force us to play when starting a new character but there has to be a solution to this problem. Feel free to add to my thoughts or throw out some ideas of your own on how this could be addressed. I hope Riot is already on this problem but if not maybe they will think about it and start on something.
