Ping is getting worse every patch

Hey, this is by no means trying to be toxic towards riot, but I feel that I speak for everybody saying that I am tired with my ping on the east coast getting worse by every patch, I do not think this is just my internet because my friends in the area have noticed the same thing. In 5.1 and below I got 80 ping avg and 100 ping at worst, which was pretty manageable but still a detriment to my play. in 5.2 I keep on getting 100-130 ping, with ping spikes. and 5.3 it got even worse with about an average of 150 ping with more ping spikes, these ping issues are severely affecting my play and everyone around, that being said I have a friend in the Toronto area of Canada that recently got less ping, they now have 60 ping instead of 80. I live in Long Island, New York and I get better ping on EUW and LAN/LAS so I am seriously considering switching over to those servers, despite losing friends because the ping makes it near impossible to have an enjoyable experience in NA.item 3070

Hey just a tip from a fellow player who knows about command prompt and how to fix simple issues like ddos/ISP issues.

Open command prompt type as follows: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns

Notice a change in ping? you may be suffering from hopping through an area that was being ddosed/had some extra backage along the way. Make sure to do this between every game =] you're welcome.

you need to have at least a 3mb constant connection to be playing games online without any issues. Unless you're playing something that just pings a server each time it wants to play like an FPS... Unlike an FPS though league needs a constant connection per game so 3mbps would be the relative speed to make sure its not on your end.

Everybody is so quick to blame this guy's ISP, or that he has too much happening on his end. This HAS been a trend, across the country (less noticable in California, of course). In Florida, on LAN, for example Legendary abs (a Shaco streamer) used to get 20 ping; the moment the recent patches hit, his average ping was 35-50. I too, on NA in Wisconsin, used to experience 60-80 ping, but this changed with the recent patches. Now, my average is anywhere between 100-150.

This actually might be server-side folks. Deal with it by demanding better server performance from Rito.
