Ahri's current state

Despite being a mage, Ahri is not doing well. Not at all. There have been times when she was strong or weak, but right now she's just terrible. Before I get downoted to oblivion, hear me out: I don't think mages are fair to play against. As an Ahri main, I hate them too. They do everything too well for too little. Anyway, back to my main point.

When the tower plating mechanic was first introduced into to the game, Ahri was doing pretty well. She could shove the wave in and get a lot of gold from turrets. Pushing was always her strongest point. She has no real damage, only survivabilty which is, well.. only really useful in lower elos. As platings were nerfed more and more, Ahri gradually got worse as well. At first, plates gave a little less gold, which was, well, tolerable. But then they were made so strong that unless you are playing against an afk you won't ever get past the second or third plate.

In lane, she barely has a little kill pressure if any. She can't oneshot even with ult and ignite, not to mention that you have to pick Glacial Augment to actually feel the tiniest bit of usefullness(not that she can kill people with electrocute). Even if you get super far ahead, you can still just barely oneshot a few squishies. A 6/0 Ahri won't carry a game, while a 2/0 Yasuo pretty much kills everyone. Same for pretty much any mage.

Her ult's cd is absolutely ridiculous compared to, say, Diana: Ahri's lv.1 ult cd is 130 sec, while Diana's is 100 seconds. And I don't think I need to tell you which one is more useful.

Her winrate is pretty high, up until she gets into higher ranked games. She's absolute garbage as a champion and can't compete with ANY midlaner you can think of. You could imagine her playing against any midlaners, and she won't win. She can't.

It's not just me, either. You could ask any Ahri main in higher elos or any pro, and they will most definitely say that she's weak. She has been for a while now. Send help please.

51% win rate with a 7% popularity says otherwise. Ahri isnt weak by any stretch of the imagination. Anyway... ill tear down your post!

She has no real damage

80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+ 70% AP) is pretty significant. 64 / 104 / 144 / 184 / 224 (+ 48% AP) likewise, is not bad. 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 40% AP) on a 2 second stun? oh the humanity! 180 / 270 / 360 (+ 105% AP) three dashes on an 80s cooldown that deals high damage? Scandelous.

Ahri does a grant total of 1044+263%AP in single target burst. From safety. Late game thats a guranteed kill on a squishy - and you dont even have to risk ANYTHING for that kill because of your two second stun.

In lane, she barely has a little kill pressure if any.

I actually see this complaint a lot and it has nothing to do with the kit itself and everything to do with the playerbase. Most Ahri mains - because of her kit - rarely take risks because the way Ahri is played is "if im not guranteed a kill i will never go in on it". Her E is basically a "kill secure" and between her passive and her ultimate, she can engage AND ESCAPE from almost any situation. Almost. As if. She were. An Assassin.

She can't oneshot even with ult and ignite

Neither can most champions, who risk a lot more. Ill be honest here, this sounds incredible entitled and nearly delusional. Do you feel you have a right to oneshot anything outside of a curbstomp situation?

not to mention that you have to pick Glacial Augment to actually feel the tiniest bit of usefullness

I mentioned this earlier, but what youre saying here isnt true and its got to do with the mindset of Ahri mains in general where you feel you cannot take a risk and most of what you do must be guaranteed to even be attempted. Glacial augment is not required to be competent, it simply makes your Q much easier to land which translates into stronger poke and leads to more Es so you can go in on things safely.

Even if you get super far ahead, you can still just barely oneshot a few squishies. A 6/0 Ahri won't carry a game, while a 2/0 Yasuo pretty much kills everyone. Same for pretty much any mage.

You are not entitled to one shot, and if you arent forcing people out of lane with a item 3285 item 3020 and three or more level advantage youre the one with a problem. Ahri is comparable in damage to most mages. Most mages however do not have the mobility or safety that Ahri does. As for Yasuo... You cant really compare Yasuo to an assassin. Hes a hypercarry, youre not.

Her ult's cd is absolutely ridiculous compared to, say, Diana: Ahri's lv.1 ult cd is 130 sec, while Diana's is 100 seconds. And I don't think I need to tell you which one is more useful.

Dianas ult is an AoE displacement that deals damage scaling to the number of enemy champions inside it. Its conditional and requires her to risk herself in order to use it. Meanwhile Ahris ult scales to the same cooldown at level 16 and gives her three terrain ignoring dashes.

Her winrate is pretty high, up until she gets into higher ranked games.

While it is true that in master+ she has a 48% win rate, i think thats more to do with the fact that most of her players are in the diamond and lower bracket, which is why we use "all of high ELO" as the barometer and not just "masters+".

She's absolute garbage as a champion and can't compete with ANY midlaner you can think of.

Akali Yuumi Are absolute garbage champions because of riots constant nerfs and community whining. THOSE are champions who cant compete in solo queue, Ahri is a champion who may not be in the limelight but is never weak either. Quinn is another such champion who isnt really ever weak, but also isnt ever in the limelight.

TL:DR; Youre a TAM who, like the other TAMs on the boards; Your arguments arent real, your opinions are ignorant, and your desires are selfish. Dont get me wrong though, youre entitled to all those things. Just try to step back sometimes and see the bigger picture.

52% winrate in Plat+ for a beginners champ 51,5% in D+... Yeah pls delete this post. If Garen or Yoric had these kind of numbers in plat+ and d+ there would be hell here.

Ahri has always had preferential treatment because of her popularity. She is really strong, requires nerfs not buffs.

She has been at 52% winrate in midlane for centuries man. She is completely fine, if not nerf worthy. Don't push your luck. She actually has pretty good damage if you properly use her ult. She doesn't have one shot potential the same way fizz does, but really should she? She has insane safety, and is ranged.

Down voted for calling the archetype with some of the most counterplay "unfair"

To challengers/pros anything that isn't meta is weak. At that level, most people are either meta slaves or are the most hard core OTPs.
