Increase ward placement range PLEASE

I am a support main and there is one thing that frustrates me more than any other in LOL, I can only throw a ward at a range of 600. The issue is the HUGE number of champs who can close this range, or CC you at this range and take an easy kill on a support. Out side of very tanky supports like braum, ali, or taric, many champs just 100 to 0 you. Or there are 2 of them sitting in wait.

I'd like to explain how numerous, frequent, and frustrating, the situations are. Here are some examples.

You get some jungler camping your bushes in lane, you know he is there, but if you try to ward the bush, your dead. If you don't ward, and your adc is pissed because he can't farm while the enemy freezes the lane and you can't move up the lane. You don't know if he is still in there, and both of your options suck.

Your team gets pushed back, you lost some outer turrets, maybe an inner, you need to keep vision of your own jungle, you goto the first bush to the side of mid lane to ward, you come up from the bottom so they don't see you coming, you throw the ward at maximum range to the edge of the bush, your dead.

Then your team blames you for feeding, or bitches "why are you going out!?!" "Stop getting caught" "report sona" ect. But if you don't ward they flip out on you too. They won't come with you to help clear and ward, because to them it's a waste of time. Think they are gonna spend any time or money helping get vision? If I'm lucky there is one other person making any effort.

There just isn't any counter play for me. I'm damned either way, I try to ward and get dumpstered, if I don't ward I'm not doing my job. RIOT PLEASE HELP! INCREASE THE SIGHT STONE CASTING RANGE PLEASE. Give me some counter play, seriously look the supports and ask "how many of them have any escapes to match the endless gap closers/cc in this game?"

Now I want you to think about all the champs who can gap close,and/or lock you down, or just blow you up when you are just trying to ward because you have to get withing 600 range of the bush they are in. Here are some that come to mind. AAtrox, Ahri, Akali, Amumu, Anivia, annie, blitz, brand, braum, chogath, corki, darius, diana, Elise, fiddlesticks, fiora, fizz, gnar, gragas, graves, hecarim, irelia, jarvan, jax, jayce, jinx, karma, kassadin, katarina, kayle, khazix, leblanc, lee sin, leona, lissandra, lux, malphite, malzahar, maokai, master yi, morgana, nami, nasus, nautalis, nocturne, nunu, olaf, orianna, pantheon, rammus, rengar, riven, ryze, sejuani, shaco, shyvana, skarner, swain, syndra, talon, thresh, tristana, trundle, tryndamere, twisted fate, twitch, udyr, viegar, vi, ww, wukong, xin zhao, yassuo, zed, zigs, zyra. (It's a pretty big list isn't it!)

Basically if any of these champs are waiting in a bush for you to ward, and even if you ward at maximum range, there is a good chance of you dying. You either will get chain cc'd, or blown up instantly.

It's frustrating, it's very hard to avoid, there is little counter play, you will most likely be talked trash to by your own team when it inevitably happens.

Riot don't punish me for trying to do my job, don't punish me for trying to be a good support teamate. Just let me ward at a range that doesn't make me an easy kill for 3/4 of the champs in the game. Maybe a support mastery to increase all ward range to 800+ or just give the sightstones more range.

But in it's current state warding often is frustrating, not fun, and just not fair at all. And for the love of god don't tell me that I should take clairvoyance or the orb to check the bushes. You will get verbally abused/reported by your team for it. Because every time the adc dies it is automatically your fault for not having exhaust, and if you don't have a scanner your "a noob" "support is trash" ect.

Vision is incredibly powerful. Long term vision even more so. Why should you be allowed to obtain this vision for little risk?

I'm support main as well, and the solution is a bit simpler; Ask a teammate to babysit while you go ward. Tell him to throw skillshots into the brush, and you do it as well. I play mostly Nami, I just toss a bubble in bushes as I walk up, because it has a much better range than wards (and there are more bushes between where I am and where I need to go ward). If they refuse to go with you, they don't need wards that badly. You may also just ward in less desirable but significantly safer spots.

As a support as well, there is a utility for our ward problem I believe. Also with the current Ward Meta. Everyone has to ward, not just you. You can only do so much and you can even ask your allies to ward a spot instead of you legging it to pop a ward when you have someone who is capable of going in alone. The range is well enough and we can still ward some nice spots in the early game in which can be a challenge (Like the Tri-bush near Drag pit, great early ward for ganks) You just need to do what you can with the current system.

I can understand the argument that this is how it's supposed to be, and it's necessary in high-level play; that it's a player problem, not a game balance problem.

But it wouldn't be the first time that Riot attempted to fix a player problem that is otherwise fair. (see: Team Builder)

I definitely think Riot should do something to help out supports in low-mid Elo ranges without breaking the game at higher ranks. I don't think a flat increase on ward range, or even a mastery, would do that. I'm not really sure of the correct solution, but then I'm not getting paid for it.
