First: I'm red-green colorblind, and I use colorblind mode.
Second: How do you tell whose team a ward belongs on? It seems to me that all sight wards have a green circle and health bar, while all vision wards have a pink eye and health bar - regardless of team.
uhm... Green enemy wards are invisible, no need to know who it belongs to, if you can see it ALL the time it's yours, if you use your red trinket and it appears with a red cross on top of it, it the enemy's.
I'm guessing it gets tricky with a pink ward, though by mousing over it if your cursor changes to a sword than it's the enemy's
Also minimap icons are red/green but I'm assuming you can't differentiate... Icons on the minimap should change as well with colorblind mode (I use it though I'm not colorblind... it's just easier to see blue things amidst green xD)
