Please get rid of auto fill

no one likes auto fill I would rather have a longer queue time than ever playing a role I dislike I always doge when I don't get my role and most players seem to do the same or they just feed super hard or are toxic and troll all game. when ever I try to play the role I fill all I do is feed and lose the game for my team as I dont like a single champion for the role and dont play it so I suck at the role. I honestly would rather see my mother die of cancer than play support.

perhaps add an option that allows you to op out of auto fill even if it makes you have longer queue times.

There's a simple solution: Git gud and stop crying like a little baby. Support is the easiest role in the game so you must be pretty garbage if you can't play it.

It always reminds me of little children at the mall, crying to their mommy about how they won't get the new toy. Then they can't accept it and they start to make a big show out of it.

What a stupid and subjective statement. Support is one of the most crucial roles on the team and the difference between a good support and an exceptional one are sometimes what win the match. I wanted to write more then I looked at your summoner name and i'm just proud of you for learning how to read.

And there the triggered support main comes. Champions like Janna and Soraka have extremely low skill floors. You can win a game just by spamming shields and heals on your allies. But I'm not saying that all supports have it.

Support is the "low skill floor, high skill ceiling" one of the roles. It takes little to do acceptably, but a good support can be way more impactful than an acceptable one. It's like Janna, anyone can do her main job, shielding people and ulting enemies away, but a good Janna can screw up an Leblanc 's dash(if you can interrupt an almost instant dash with something you have to activate twice, that's skill) or a Zed ult just as well as a Lulu can, despite not having a point'n'click 2.25 second impotence skill.

despite the fact that your statement is in essence correct, there are a LOT nicer ways to say that... you don't need to be a jerk

auto fill is a good thing.

in early season 6 i had qued jungle primary and support secondary.. and for THIRTY ranked games in a row ( i am NOT exaggerating, i have counted.. its THIRTY.. check my match history if u want) i was given support.. (at which point i started queing jungle mid, i like support but not THAT MUCH) how later on in season may have gotten better.. ( i cant be sure i boycotted most of season 6 because of dynamic que after i climbed to silver) but i can now que jungle primary and support secondary and get jungle.. about 40% of my games.

myself and pretty much every other player WILLING to support out there flat out REMOVED support as an option because if u EVER put it as an option your were 100% guaranteed to get it.. this only made a downward spiral.. the less support there were the longer the que times and the more likely the people who but secondary suport were given support.. which in turn made they remove support as an option.. which in turn made finding supports harder.. and it just spiraled downward like that.

now with autofill, i can play support again while STILL playing my primary role of w/e role riot throws Nidalee into (currently jungle)

this made me and the vast majority of support players who QUIT playing support start playing it again.

it also means that as a GOOD support i can EASILY win my lane if my adc isn't a complete moron because there is a decent chance the enemy support might be autofilled. this make support now a role you can carry on pretty easily, because there is a decently high percentage of games you can be GUARANTEE to be better than your laning opponent.

not only that but i get my primary role often enough that i am perfectly willing to swap give jungle if they don't want to support if they ask.

it will also introduce people to the role of support and SOME of them even if it isnt a vary high percent may end up liking it and picking it as an option thereby reducing the chances YOU get autofilled.

now we can go to the rude statement this jerk made..

support is also a role that IS slightly easier to play than other roles.. you dont need to worry about CSing... you can constantly pay attention to where you are... where your adc is.. and where both enemies are... and the minions without having to worry about timing autos in.. you can wait for the perfect moment to thread any skillshot CC through minions or any opponent to walk out in the open.

because u are the support you can guarantee that your team has at least halfway decent vision because YOU place about a 3rd of it. (or all if it if you have idiot teammates who don't use their trinket) you can also DENY vision for the enemy which is just as important as placing it and without a item 2049 you cant replace your item 3340 for a item 3364

because u need to spend less time worrying about minions you can spend more time watching the map. and u can ping where the enemy jungler is.

TRUST ME. just because people have map vision of a gank does NOT mean they have seen him on said map. i have saved, and less frequently but still every so often BEEN SAVED, by a teammate pinging a gank that would have certainly killed be and which i had full ward vision of but i was too engaged in a fight to glance down at my map.

you can dont need to worry about using mana on anything but enemy (or allied ) champions and and because in general you are waiting for a good moment to cast spells, you have slightly longer times between spells so u not only USE less mana in a period of time... but have that much extra time to REGAIN mana.

and then we have your ability to co-ordinate your team with objectives pinging like dragon or baron or watching which turret may be lowest, or setting up a 1/3/1

support can be a VERY fun role, don't think of it as just "sitting back" there are so many things u can actively do which are not only fun, and VERY important, but things your can practice learning these important things they are easier to and multitask as support than it is to try to do that while trying to do them in other lanes while trying to CS properly.. learning to support will not only be a great role you can play, but will also help you learn valuable things u can and SHOULD use in other lanes..

Your attitude is the reason people hate support Support has incredible nuance to it, it's 50% of the only duo lane in the meta

Iv'e suggested many times for an OPTION to OPT out of auto fill in return of a longer queue, but everytime i suggest that i get downvoted and told i need to know every role.

Funny thing is, i even state that i know every role, and don't mind any of them (except support, because ADC's are assholes). The only reason i mind Auto-Fill, is because i like to duo with my GF. I ADC, she supports. Auto-Fill fucks that.

It's even worse when we both got the role we wanted, then someone DODGES THE DAMN MATCH, then me or her gets auto-filled. Talk about a serious face palm moment.

But according to the community, i am wrong for being willing to accept longer queues just so i can duo with my GF. Ya just can't win.

I thnk adding a third lane to your choice of lanes could elivate some of the issues with auto fill.

Gee, i play Veigar supp, my friend plays Darius supp, another plays Malphite, and another plays LB. Just pick a champ that can either poke or stun and you should be fine. Don't play a support champ if you know you will be uncomfortable. All you need to do is help, not get the kill. But if you can kill without anyone getting mad, go for it.

I can play support I just fucking hate the role to the point I would rather commit mass murder than actually play the role especially when the adc is a brain dead fuck. the problem with the auto fill system is that you are encouraged to only play two roles and thats where you get the most practice is in the two roles of your choice. but then auto fill requires you know how to play all the roles despite have very little practice with every role. what riot needs to do is remove the role select system so everyone plays every role or get rid of auto fill so you can focus on getting good at your specific roles.
