How bad is Quinn, really?

I'm looking to pick up Quinn, and was super excited when she came on free rotation. I've felt the issues she has where her autos don't actually happen, but are there any other glaring weaknesses that I'm not aware of? I've heard she's strong despite her bugs, I just want to make sure there's nothing frustrating that is being overshadowed by the more flashy bugs.

I love her personally, she's super fun but her autos are clunky. You can make the q work by pretty much just going up to her when you've cleared the minion wave, and e'ing into the other adc gives you an immediate harrier mark, which, as a e-aa combo actually does a shit ton of dmg. For me her ult just makes me feel like an assassin, which is why I love playing quinn, bc she's like an adc assassin.

Her entire kit gets her killed and stops her from fullfilling the role an adc usually would do

I haven't played her in forever and a half but she is apparently very strong early and a great lane bully. But she falls off late game and becomes extremely vulnerable with her play patterns of going into melee range to deal damage. This is why she isn't viable as an adc. Play her top if your team lacks ad damage and already has enough tanks. But if you do decide to get her I recommend the Woad Scout skin because it is nicee.

Pretty bad.

  1. Terribad passive. I mean it can be really strong, and adds a lot of burst when it works, but it is soooooo unreliable. Especially if she's actually trying to ADC, because there are 2 Champions for it to proc on (assuming it doesn't proc on a minion for no reason) and its buggy and glitchy and you have so little control over it.. I really think they should shift her passive to function on "Valor's" abilities, like if you reveal an enemy using W it marks them, if you blind them it marks them, etc. then she could actually control her burst.

  2. Ultimate greatly conflicts with everything else she does. Suddenly you go from a fragile, relatively immobile (without using ult) ranged ADC with only 1 CC ability (that requires you to get closer to the enemy before using it, if you're trying to escape) and then you ult and turn into.... a fragile, immobile (in combat) Melee ADC with 0 CC abilities.... its just.... wat?

I think Quinn is great except for a clunky kit. To actually boost stats on her I feel would make her op rather than more balanced. She feels balanced (However, that means she is underpowered against meta picks ^^) and some of her kit feels like it could be better, most people don't like her ult. My only problem is the movement speed falloff and the low dmg "execute" but even as an adc going in on people you don't necessarily want, but for a guy who plays too safe like me (even in lost games I die around 6 times at worst. If you die more than 10 times, that's way too much.) It helps to get in. Anyway, mostly it's her passive being clunky; choosing to mark as soon as you start attacking but giving you no damage boost, marking a dumb target, not marking the guy you are trying to kill unless he is really far away, etc. Then her autoattack is just a bit off from other champs for some reason and doesn't make sense, unless you only play quinn for a while it can result in your opponent walking away with a harrier mark on them because you canceled your auto when you q'd even though it looked like it hit. Otherwise I'd say she rocks and if this stuff got changed she would be probably not op but very reliable as she is already pretty good. Short range is fair (and it's not much shorter anyway) because of her burst in trades I think, harrier mark atk speed is great, it would help if q procced harrier and long ult cd should either be shortened or give boosts on abilities because it's good and that might make it op but it is hit or miss sometimes.

It's not that she is bad. She suffers from identity crisis.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! Fingers crossed they'll give her a bugfix pass, especially since she still seems to be getting skins...

If you build her like a traditional ADC. You will have a bad day. She is more like a Ranged Bruiser then an ADC.

She gets bullied out of lane too easily. She is the only ADC who can't harass through the minion wave, and her Q hitbox is so fat that you can never hit anyone with it because a minion will always screw it up. Using her vault to try and harass is an easy way to get yourself cc'ed and killed.

She is just underpowered as an ADC, especially early game. She's my favorite ADC (pool party gift from Riot) but I just can't make her work because I can play any other ADC and have a much, much easier time in lane.

Quinn is assassin first and adc second, so her quality of life is dependent on how much cc the enemy team has, and her life is just miserable if they have more two or more tanks. If she can get ahead the assassin part shines and she just can snowball that lead, the adc part just is clunky at times with valor trolling with putting the mark on, to quote the magikarpusedfly vid, the 5 billion health nautilus, or applying the mark right as you were vaulting to apply a mark of your own, thus wasting one mark.

She's okay. She's nice to play if you want a fun ADC, but she's not very viable in the slightest..
