why do i get matched with plat 4s when i have silver 1 mmr honest question

i dont understand why the enemy has 2 plats and my team are all my mmr and elo i dont get it if someone can explain the system and how that works im just annoyed it seems kinda dumb

their mmr was crap and urs is probably a bit higher than silver 1 i guess maybe ur around gold 4 and theirs is gold 2 or smt
