Autofill should be optional ( the rant you've been waiting for ) upvote to save the game

Creating this discussion to see if it can gain any traction and reach RIOT .

I see players complaining and quitting the game on a daily basis , each for their own reasons.

One of the many reasons I've heard so far and I share very strongly that reason as I'm about to quit this game too because since S6 everything is going to shit , you guessed it ... the inevitable Autofill guillotine.

Now bear with me for a second. As a level-headed player playing at platinum 1 ( just a glorified monkey hehexd ) , I can handle any role decently without feeding my ass off. I main Jungle , and can play well a decent pool of champs top/mid , and do my job as an ADC / support if need be .

My issue and what sucked ALL of the fun for me is that 90% of my games , I'm gonna get an autofilled teammate , and guess what most of the time they face a main top/mid/adc

It's just a feelsbad moment when you get into champ select and your ADC starts with " autofilled btw " , you already know how it's gonna go down bot. Sometimes we can work something in champ select and swap lanes and try to make everybody more or less happy but it happens very rarely.

Legion of high elo streamers complain about it, and complain about autofilled teammate soft inting/feeding because offrole , then tilting and feeding some more ( Soraka mid inc ) .

Imagine how it feels to lose promos because at least one of your lane is autofilled and get totally dumpstered because the Jax top enemy has 300+ game ... oh wait you don't need to imagine because it happened to you too ? Lul.

It takes just **ONE **to lose a game but it takes a team to win .

What needs to change IMO is to make the** AUTOFILL** feature optional in ranked.

RIOT believe me when I say that thousands of us just WISH we could choose to not get autofilled/get autofilled teammate even if it meant waiting a 10 minute queue .

Because Rito I'd rather wait** 10 minutes** , get decent teammate in their main roles and lose the game after a good fight where we really tried rather than a 2min queue , and lose the game because my support is autofilled and has NO idea what to do botlane.

This very issue is exactly why I'm not having fun anymore, I can't seem to have a normal game where my teammates actually play what they queued for

In the name of all that's holy , allow your playerbase to tick/untick the autofill feature . AND when in promos , being un-autofillable is cool i'll give you that , but having **un-autofillable teammates **would be WAY cooler and would guarantee a way healthier promo feels .

Give the people the choice to either accept autofill and get in games faster , but more importantly give us the possibility to choose to WAIT longer but play in a decent atmosphere with decent teammates.

Stop trying to create one rank per role ( season 9 omegalul ) , shh it's okay , just ... optional autofill in ranked . Freedom of choice .

You can stop hemorrhaging players day after day by doing the right thing for us . We loved your game , we really did love it .
