Is Smurfing Legal ?

every body know that the new season is coming soon , and its the best time for some people in high elos to make $$ from boosting accounts .

i cant play ranked games anymore because its full of "Smurfes" , and i really want the new season rewards , in the same time i cant win against a " Smurf "

Riot should take an action ASAP to stop these "Smurfes" , i recommend to ban the account that is being boosted from playing ranked games untill the end of the season .

BTW this is the match history for someone i played against him today in ranked ....

Smurfs and Boosting are 2 differnet things Smurfs is having another account basicly Boosting is paying someone to boost your rank,

Boosting and smurfing are not the same things.

Boosting is when a high tiered player logs onto another user's account and plays ranked to boost the owners account to a specific rank. Account sharing/boosting is against the rules and is a bannable offense.

Smurfing is when a player creates an alternate account and plays rank. If the smurf legitimately plays ranked, he will eventually reach the rank the smurf deserves to be in. Smurfing is not punishable.

well .... at the current time

90% of players are looking for someone to boost their accounts , because of the coming season rewards .

you can see from the match history i shared ,, the main owner for that account play his main champions in normal games or ARAM

but ranked is being played by Vladimir only ( Level 4 champion only ) , which means it is 100% being boosted .

btw

The first " yes " was to ban accounts boosters from playing ranked games until the end of ranked season ( a very peaceful option ).

the " no " was for" No " disagree .

the second " yes " was " yes " + ( permanent ban for the boosted account )

There is nothing illegal about smurfing, I do it all the time and it is some of the most fun I've had with this game. Some benefit of reaching the top 0.5% is getting to playnon a fresh account and do the climb over again but without the stress. Imagine getting to bronze or silver over again and trying to do the run in as little losses as possible.... that is fun. Taking away smurfing takes away an element of league which is incredibly fun for the top of the ladder. There is no way smurfing is a big enough problem to make it illegal. Maybe 1 out of 20 games will have a legitimate smurf... not enough to change where you are ranked. If you lose vs a smurf then your next game will be against a lower mmr, aka easier opponents. If you can't feel the game get significantly easier after a loss then you are at your actual rank anyway.

is it fun to ruin someone else game ?

i am talking about the people who boost accounts for the new season rewards .

also its not fair to face someone has 18 - 20 kills at minute 18 .

we play games in general for fun , no one had fun in that game - even the winning team no one said GG or easy or whatever - because only one did the whole job .

It is fun to completely 1v9 and just crush people, but I don't do anythjng to ruin anyones game. On 1 account, which I mostly just play on solo because it is mid plat, and I just use to practice new build concepts, that account is honor 4 and I have only 70 solo q games on it. My most played on smurf, this account, has 85 solo games on it. So between those 2 smurfs inhabe 155 games and most of them have been pleasant. People have friend requested, asked to duo, asked for tips, etc. It is Actually rare for someone to get butt hurt when I smurf.

I don't do It for the rewards though, I do it for fun. I am not ever going to use the oriana skin outside of ARAM and the diamond/ master/challenger border means nothing to me because of how stupidly easy it is to get them from flex.
