Look at the banned champions on each team, there's absolutely no way matchmaking would ever do this to a player even if they were smurfing. You're in that game because you joined that custom, and the custom clearly shows each players ranks so you know what you're getting into.

It's not a custom. I don't know any of the people I played with. Do you want the match history? It was a normal draft game. The only weird bans are Morde and Singed, but I could understand the bans if they just got destroyed by them, since both are super annoying to play against. There is a way matchmaking would do this, because it did.

if you're good at the game that's one thing, but this is your second account. the only thing broken about this game is the fact that masteries and runes punish low level players. had that not been a factor your team probably would have won.

I don't think normal MMR gets reset each season like ranked though, does it? I mean, it doesn't drop down to 0 games played/won after each season. My normal games aren't all from this season. And I wasn't in a premade.

The "wins" column is normal wins. I have 21 normal wins. The enemy team has 6,000+.

Ackelope5 votesprobably not... the riven has a couple hundred ranked games on riven, and the vayne has very nearly 100 ranked games on vayne, and they're in plat 2 and diamond 5, so i think it's safe to say they don't completely suck at them.

Gwenavere1 votesWhile I have to agree that I hated being matched with ranked players as I was leveling up my account, I do see a reciprocal problem with simply making smurfs play against higher level players (assuming this is what you mean by your third bullet)--you won't have full runes or masteries as you're leveling the account up. You may be Gold on your normal account and win games at Gold elo, but if you're level 15 and can't use proper runes or a keystone mastery, you'll likely struggle against people who you could otherwise compete against evenly on your main account. I'm not sure what the way around this would be, honestly. It's part of why I have no interest in leveling up another account myself.

MonkeyMadness1 votesBecause this is a normal game and not ranked. Those high elo players probably don't really care about their normal mmr, and so dick around in normals a lot. I can say from my own experience, I'm plat right now, but my normal mmr is ~low gold. You are a new player so you just don't have a lot of game to base your mmr on, which means the game isn't quite sure where to put you yet.

kirbyzama1 votesI have had diamonds in like 3 out of my last 15 normals and plats in most of them on the enemy team. I'm bronze this season (to be fair I only played the placements but still) and duo with an unranked. The last diamond I got placed against a diamond we had a level 24 on our team. Neither me nor my friends are smurfs either. I believe that most of the games are largely balanced and that the various ranks outside the top aren't too different but still games should never be as unbalanced as to put non lvl 30 with diamonds.

I fail to see the problem here, especially since you went 3/7/4 with 7.4 cs a minute, incredibly good if you are a new player against those high ranked players.
