It's really hard to see if this is the case for you, but one thing that I have noticed is that people have a tenancy to win fights and then not translate that advantage into taking objectives. Afterall, that should really be the whole reason that you are looking for fights.

Take down the enemy's towers. Take dragons, buffs, Baron.

If you are fighting without doing these things, you are actually helping the enemy stall the match.

Once everyone reaches level 18 and has full build, your K/D/A doesn't mean anything.

yeah very true i ping for objectives after kills or fights and everyone seems to not capitalize on it. its hard to be the only one who seems to want to take objectives and make an impact to win. thanks for replying by the way.

Then I would really just say that the only thing you can do is continue to try and focus on improving your own performance and try to care less about if you won or lost.

I know that this is a lot easier said than done. Losing is no fun, and losing despite doing well is no fair, but you simply can not control your teammates. Through statistics alone, you should still be able to climb, although an 8 game losing streak will make that seem impossible.

You might already do this, and as I can see you do play pretty well as it is.

Ask yourself,

  • What was my cs per minute?

  • Did I do better than last time?

  • Could I do better next time?

  • How often did I ward?

  • Did I purchase and place control wards?

  • Did I upgrade my trinket?

  • How was my map awareness?

  • Did I check the mini map often?

  • How often?

  • Could or should I check it more next time?

  • Was I aware of where my teammates were and what they were doing?

  • Was I aware of where my enemies were and what they were doing?

...

Things like this,

If you look at your own performance as a way of establishing good habits, and improving on them, you will feel more confident that you have done all that you could to win the game.

If you notice that you are actually accomplishing these goals you are setting for yourself, and continuing to push yourself to get better (even pros can always get better) you can still feel good about your own performance during a defeat.

And one last thing.

There is something called the Losada Ratio.

It is a psychological principle that says that for every 1 negative experience, it takes approximately 3 positive experiences to equate to a neutral evaluation of the set.

So for every 4 matches you play, if you don't win at least half of them, you are likely to feel like you are doing poorly.

If you can understand this, and learn to control your overall opinion to more accurately reflect your accomplishments, you will feel much better about your experiences in general.

And this advice goes beyond the game.

Good luck, and don't forget to have fun.

Thanks mate. Having fun is number one priority for me

My brother did this. He would get kills but wouldn't translate them to objectives and never understood why he lost. Poor macro play often holds back players with great mechanics.

One thing to consider is offering any replays you have. It's really hard to make any concrete assessments without actually seeing you play. It could be that you are doing fine yourself and just have a bad teammates (that AFK Draven for example). I tried to look for any replays online but couldn't find anything. If you want, add me and I can spectate a game of yours to see if I can offer some advice.

One thing to consider is maybe try a different champion. Most of my games tend to end around the 20-30 minute mark, so any champions that have a mid game power spike are really good right now. Also anyone who's really good at punishing poor positioning.

Personally I play Lux mid cause her burst is surprising to most people, she's long range, and she offers good poke and decent peel. I've won games by landing a ER on the enemy ADC which instantly put us in a 5v4 situation. Another good choice for mid is Leblanc cause she can delete people easily and is pretty safe.

ADC wise maybe trying Jhin, Caitlyn, or MF. The lethality changes has given MF and Jhin surprising early damage. I had one game where I killed people with MF's Double Up twice cause they didn't expect the damage, plus all you need is one good MF ult and you can change a teamfight. Jhin is long range and armor pen makes his abilities hurt a lot. Caitlyn is straight Crit ADC, but she offers a strong early game and hyper carry late game. Her mid is a dip in power, but if you can push your early advantage, you can easily try to speed through her dip to get to her strength. Her net and traps offer a lot of self peel as well, which tends to be lacking in lower elo teams.

The biggest thing I can tell you to do is learn to control minions waves and CS properly.
If the wave is on your side of the river, you can create a slow push by clearing out just the melee minions or just the caster minions. This will cause a huge wave to form in that lane and slowly push towards the enemy, creating pressure which allows you to take other objectives like Dragon/Baron/tower in another lane cause the enemy has to respond to that or lose a tower to it.

Alternatively, you can force a huge wave to come to you by making sure you clear all enemies minions on your side of the river so the waves crash on the enemies side of the river. This sorta freezes the wave on their side for a wave and then a larger wave forms on their side pushing to you. You can use this to get a huge CS advantage over your enemy laner cause most people won't wander out that far to fast push that wave. The down side to this is that you have to respond to that wave or it may take a tower.

Thanks for the reply ill add you and you can spectate sometime.

You could add me too if you like. I enjoy spectating as well.

So I managed to catch a game of yours. Overall I think you are playing well but there are a few things to work on. I sorta did a play by play breakdown as I was watching, trying to make notes before things happened but some things are sorta hindsight simply cause I wanted to go back and make sure about what I saw. If you have the replay, you might want to watch it while reading this since I tried to get the closest time stamp so you could go back and learn.

03:03 First Gragas gank, you would've been better flashing to avoid his body slam rather than flashing afterwards. You survive though but have to recall way too early to really get any good items. Ahri also blows Flash and Ignite to try and kill you, so right now you have the upper hand summoner spell wise.

04:10 You placed a ward on the top side of your river, which spotted out Gragas at 04:30 and someone even pinged danger there. However, you then kept pushing up in lane without your flash knowing he was probably top side. Should've been obvious that you might get ganked again. It would've been better to give the 2 or 3 CS and play safer. The minion wave would've pushed to you anyway so it wouldn't have been bad to stay back.

06:30 Not sure why you roamed bot when Ahri was bot when you could've gotten some damage on her tower. Nothing really resulted from it and Ahri was spotted really early so your bot lane should've been safe. Ahri also spends a ton of time down there so if you had been hitting her tower, you might've been able to take the first tower blood gold.

08:00 Your Warwick wasn't playing well this game. 3 people are bot lane trying to take bot tower (they get it too) as he is soloing dragon. He shouldn't have been doing it to begin with since so many were bot side, and he definitely should've stopped after hearing the announcement that the tower was taken.

09:30 Your Warwick walking under tower when Ahri is right there was really nothing you could do. You might've been able to shield him to save him, but he should've backed off way earlier once Ahri shows.

11:00 Good job backing off when Gragas showed on the ward top side of river. Someone pinged danger but it's good that you respected the ping.

11:18 During the Soraka gank, I would've waited to flash or flash sideways. You got hit by a max range charm which is sorta unlucky, but turning back in trying to do some damage wasn't the best idea with how low you got. I would've just let Warwick fight that. He wasn't making the best decisions earlier so I wouldn't risk trying to help him in my opinion, which appears to be what you were trying to do.

12:18 Your Braum this game is worrying me. He's always low health before a fight starts and dies almost instantly before really doing anything. Plus he's really aggressive for no reason I feel.

13:30 Again, Braum is too far foward. Good job getting the kill on Jinx but I would've just left after that since Braum was definitely dead anyway.

13:30 You are Warwick are chasing a low health Ahri. Put your ball on Warwick and use your W to speed him up. You probably would've caught Ahri.

13:50 Still chasing Ahri when Soraka appears. Turn on Soraka! She's literally running after you and Warwick.

13:55 Soraka flashes in front of you. Just hit her or at least ping her so maybe Warwick turns. He's so tunneled on Ahri he's not seeing the obvious kill. Eventually Twitch kills Ahri but you get so low from that chase. Honestly you should've just left cause Soraka could've finished you off if you weren't careful, and you had no mana so you couldn't even offer Twitch a shield or anything to help him kill Soraka. Eventually a Jinx Ult gets you.

15:10 Braum is being aggressive for no reason again, and taken extremely low from it.

16:04 Braum has 400 hp, this is not the time to be doing Dragon.

16:10 Beautiful job hiding your ball in the bush to get that ultimate on Soraka and Jinx. If your team had reacted in time that was an easy two kills except they were too busy trying to do drag, which got them all low health so you all lose that teamfight that immediately follows. It might've been better if you had ulted a second or so earlier. Since your ult pulls people toward the ball, you sorta pulled them away from your team. Maybe ping next time so your team reacts faster. This is more of a nitpick though, it was still a great ult.

18:50 Shield Twitch for assists. Otherwise you did a good job staying close by incase they needed you while staying away from danger since you are low health.

19:50 1v4 Braum again. This guy is stressing me out watching this since he's so far forward and so low health.

20:22 Good job using Braum as a distraction for a multi man ultimate. After that though, just let it go. Warwick went way too deep for that considering you had just used your whole combo and there was no one else to do damage.

21:42 Soraka is literally beside you. Just hit her. You have a lot of multi people ultimates, which is great, but you're also ignoring a lot of people who are poorly positioned. So many times this game Soraka is literally walking into melee range of your team and you're busy trying to finish off the low health target. Even if you don't kill her, just poke her for being that far forward.

22:10 Beautiful 5 man ult, but it's a 3v5. I don't know if I would've done that considering that your team is at a disadvantage and neither Twitch or Teemo is close enough to do anything afterwards.

23:53 Over aggressive Braum again. It actually works for you this time. During the chase afterwards, you could put your ball on Braum who was in front and then use your W to speed up your whole team.

24:10 Good job focusing Jinx. She's the important one and she's isolated and an easy kill.

24:25 You trapped Soraka under her bot tower and yet none of you went to push the bot wave into tower. You even started proxying the next wave instead of just finishing off the 3 minions holding your huge wave from crashing in. If I was Soraka, I would've recalled and forced you guys to dive to keep me there. Luckily Gragas suicides in trying to save her I suspect (beautiful shield to keep Warwick alive and Braum healthy later), but he gets you all so low that Jinx gets an easy kill because of it. Luckily you guys get the tower but that could've been so much worse than a tower for Warwick.

26:00 Over aggressive Braum again. Luckily your teammates were closer this time, but honestly I'd stop following Braum into fights if I were you.

26:50 Warwick and Teemo trying to defend a tower 2v5. Tell them just to give it instead of dying and still losing it. Again, it was Warwick who died who wasn't making the best decisions this game.

27:55 At this point, after Twitch gets a triple kill, I would start hanging around Twitch and helping him since he's doing a decent job this game. Your ult plus his ult is a killer anyway so if you hold it until he's around you'd have a really easy game.

28:28 I like the decision to get the mid inhib tower, but I probably would've gone with Twitch since he's playing better this game. Luckily you ger the tower and get out alive but you still lose Braum and Warwick for it.

30:00 You guys are so split this fight. Braum and Warwick want to go in and yet you and Teemo are trying to peel off. I would've pinged or something to help indicate your thoughts on this fight instead of moving back and forward so indecisively.

30:30 Good focus on the solo Soraka, but the calls afterwards just confuse me. Your team kills Soraka, Jinx, and Kled and instead of taking the FREE MID INHIB, your team chases the two kills bot lane and then proceeds to try and take the bot lane tier two instead of going mid and getting the FREE MID INHIB. Not even a single ping on the mid inhib. You get the tower and then immediately try to go on the Soraka who came to defend, which was really greedy considering their entire team is respawning. It eventually hurts you cause they basically Ace your team and get Baron for it.

33:00 3v3 fight vs a baron'd up team. Braum goes in which worries me still. Good focus on Soraka. Your Braum keeps trying to kill the tanks but you did a good job focusing the right target. You guys eventually win off that fight.

I don't have a way to watch your games so I can't tell you straight up but looking at your games from face value you're a good player no doubt but.......

** Teammates who? **
  • You cs actually really well on average so that's a + However at the same time you could be focusing on just your lane and not others. I call this the "Doublelift" syndrome where you only focus on CS and winning your lane but the bigger picture deludes you and you potentially lose games from just that.

    • Try to roam and help out more it will cost your CS but you need your teammates to get fed and help out because the lane phase isn't working out for you currently if your losing games.
If your 8-0 and your top is 0-2 or so, help them don't just leave them out to dry and twist in the wind. The WILL pay you back honestly! If a teammate sees that you 8-0 are helping them 0-2 they will be like your follower and will die and help you when you most need it, think of as a IOU. Generous players are the ahead players.
How many times does a 0-3 top help his team but instead just farms, what about a 3-0, they will sacrifice themselves more often if they get help and same thing with the other lanes.

-** Sometimes you just gotta go down **

  • Honestly ask yourself what type of player am I? Most players are what I call the " KDA w****s " they only focus on them and won't die even if they know that they can make a game winning play but they need to be the one to start the fight and most likely die from it. Solo Q carry roles such as MID/ADC will never start fights as they always think they should be the ones in the back, getting peel, getting the kills, glory, fame etc, but back in reality it doesn't work like that in low elo. Everyone want's to be the STAR player, supports try to take kills so they can say " you're not the carry adc, I am" " I'm carrying you and you're the support" etc.

" runes" You could be running the wrong runes for certain roles or you just don't have enough rune slots to maximize your play. AP Mages - I don't understand having the Lethality runes and unless you are facing an AD champion mid the armor is useless in my opinion. Try running 9X Magic pen Reds 9X HP per level Yellows 9X AP Blues or 9X flat MR Blues and 3 AP Q's if you go with the 9X flat MR Blues.

Overall I could be 100% wrong but I wanted to give you my thoughts and opinions on the matter Have a Good One!

See I try an take objectives but my team doesn't seem to capital i try to snowball other lanes i say after fights we need to take these objectives and people back or do something else that just makes the game longer. Thanks for replying.
