I don't understand how you get placed in ranked.

Long story short, just got placed into bronze 4, bronze 2 season 6. won 8 games and got b+'s and s's (6, s's in total) i don't understand this ranked thing, because being placed lower then what you were last season when you finish off doesnt make any sense to me.. looking at op.gg on my stats it says i should be placed in silver4 for al my efforts to climb i get this which makes no sense what so ever

Beginning of season places you lower than you were previous system pretty much every time. They push rank down as a reset to get people to play the ladder again and climb. Wouldn't make sense to just put the same two teams into the superbowl every year just because they were in it last year would it? Didn't think so.

Even Challenger players are placed in Plat 1 as the best placement.
