  1. OK so I've been playing league since the middle of season 1 and I've gone from bronze to gold since then. but ever since s3 i have not had much luck with advancing. the highest I've hit was gold 1 but then i dropped down to gold 4 then gold 5. I'm not the best player but I'm very consistent and usually don't lose my lane often and i farm pretty decent and know mechanics pretty well for the champion pool that i play. some of the teams i get are good and we do amazing, then i play another game and we get wrecked because of a afk or troll. i honestly don't know if leagues worth playing anymore. im not sure what to do tho cause i have al ot of motivation to play and gain elo but every time i win 2-3 games i lose 2-3 games and its like im back to square one. if you guys have any advice for me id appreciate it. btw i usually main jungle, mid, adc. So looking at your match history, I noticed a couple of things. In the last 8 games you only purchased 1 pink ward. Trinkets aren't enough vision is one of the most important things you can have in this game. Also some of your creep scores are rather low for how much time you spent in the game. 35 minute game with twitch 140 creeps. 53 minutes game with vel koz 220 creeps. This leads me to believe you need to work on last hitting. You say that you are getting frustrated because you are winning 2-3 games then losing 2-3 basically not really climbing. And you mentioned your mains for your three roles being ori, Lucian, and kha. Looking at your win rates you are playing Lucian at a 50% winrate and ori at 55%. Kha is the only one you are playing higher than that at 64% which is pretty good. You may focus on the jungle role more, or practice more with ori/Lucian or play different champs for those roles all together.

Winning your lane means you need to win other lanes as well. You win top, Spread your power with ganks and dragons for your team. You win mid roam top or bot to help them win. A lot of people think carrying means you solo kill the team and did the most damage. Not always true, you can legitimately carry with support (or any other position) if you play correctly and set up lots of opportunities for your team.

While you talked about your individual skill you might want to focus on global strategies. Winning your lane does give you a foot up, but it doesn't mean you will win. If you are dominating lane know when you can leave and help the other lanes out to get them rolling. If you've payed attention to any of the LCS spotlights/news they have pointed out how good players (Doublelift) can be mechanically great, but when it comes to team objectives they falter and can actually hinder their team a bit. When to much focus is put on you and not enough on your team you can actually hurt them more than anything. Others are commenting on individual skill so I'll just leave it at that and say to look at what you are doing in terms of overall strategy.

For those of you like you or me, we don't have the greatest mechanical skill. I just reached Diamond 5 Today. You know how? I grinded hard core. Sure the analogy of throwing yourself at a brick wall would fit... But sometimes you just gotta nut up or shut up. Just Do it.

I am a Mid/Support main Ahri /Soraka

3 Pieces of Useful advice:

  1. Be aware of which champions are picked and banned, which are flavor of the month and develop strategies against them.
  2. Increase Your Map awareness and Ward Key bushes no matter what role you are playing.
  3. It is better to give up your tower early game instead of feeding your lane. Why you may ask? If the enemy laner is super aggressive even after your tower went down and they are pushed up. That player is providing more opportunities to be ganked, which your team can take advantage of.

If you're winning your lane most of the time, then you need to start looking at how to actually use the advantage you've gained to win.

You need to use your strength to get your entire team gold, and prevent the enemy team from getting money. Kill/force the other guy back, shove, roam. Don't miss TP opportunities, force Dragon fights, take free Dragons, etc. If you get ahead you need to shit on the enemy team constantly. Never let up and they'll never even get a foot in the door.

And above all be efficient. Don't try to walk from top to mid when a gank is happening mid. You're not getting there for at least 10 seconds. Shove your wave in and get some tower damage. There's always something to do, so if you're wandering around not knowing what to do, farm nearby jungle camps, etc.

Also - When you have money buy wards. 90g after buying your item? Wait for a pink. 69g after buying an item? Wait for a green. 78g after buying an item? Buy a green. 170g after buying an item? Buy two wards. You placing a wards in their jungle saves your life and potentially a teammate's, and increases your overall map vision. If your team sees everything but the other team doesn't, they're eventually going to walk into an ambush/get picked. Don't spend all of your money on wards, but you should try to intermittently assist with vision.

Just remember you aren't trying to carry by yourself unless necessary, you're trying to give your team the gold and experience advantage to carry themselves.
