Lets talk about Tryndamere

Okay so I know Tryn can be under whelming when he is behind. However I am convinced that he is broken and has only remained unerfed because he isn't played often. If you play this game as a solo q then you have no hope of winning lane against him. If by some miracle the jungle decides to bless your lane he can easily q away. Without constant jungle pressure he has free will to trade with you and always come out on top because of the free self heal and that is Pre 6 when he hits his power spike. After he hits six the you might as well give leave the lane because he will kill you under your tower then take it anyways why does a champion who can carry late game have a ton of damage and sustain early coupled with mobility. He has been broken forever and every time he is in game he is always a threat even if he loses lane he farms the mid game and then splits by the time he has 2 items you can not 1v1 him anymore because he has his "you cant kill me button" what do you think ? Is he balanced or does he need a nerf please let me know you're opinion.

I wouldn't say that I think tryn is or isn't OP, but rather that his design is rather toxic in general.

This is the correct answer.

Trynd needs a rework, and this is coming from a Tryndamere main. His kit is very old and outdated,he mostly relies on RNG to win lane, which can be frustrating for both players. His only function in the game is to splitpush,he is nearly useless in teamfights. So if he falls behind and his enemy laner gets fed,he won't be able to splitpush properly, and he will be dead weight for his team. Now,if he gets ahead,he becomes very annoying but let's face it,every fed snowbally champ is going to be a problem,Darius Jax Yasuo Fiora Irelia Riven come to mind.To say that you have no hope of winning against him,no chance to lane against or that he is completely broken is outright exaggerated and false. He has a lot of bad matchups, and many of them are nearly impossible to win without jungle pressure. If he was as broken as you make him to be,he would have had a higher play rate and ban rate.I mostly play Darius now,and very rarely do I see a Tryndamere. You lost against him with akali who is a hard counter to Tryndamere.I honestly can't even imagine how an akali would lose against trynd, everything in her kit counters him.You simply could not accept the fact that you lost against him so you felt the need to pour salt on the boards.

I didnt watch your match history but if u lost to trynd as akali you should learn the game before writing anything especially I never play akali but when I saw a trynd against me I picked her and he got rekt so hard thats true he had bad runes and alao didnt play correctly but I dont think you played against a too good trynd too.

Yeah honestly I agree. Tryn has a bad design, but it's hard to argue that he's actually OP. He needs changes to remove the rng and maybe even change his ult to be something less brainless and ridiculous into something more intuitous.

He's really not that bad. He can, hands down, have the BEST level 1-2 trading in the game, but its entirely up to crit rng. But what you should be doing in lane is contesting him whenever he tried to go for minions. He doesn't deal nearly as much damage if his rage bar isn't built up, so that's what you need to look for. If you see him trying to last hit minions with a low rage bar, beat the fuck out of him. Make him E away. MAKE him use his heal. Sure he has good sustain, IF HE CAN HIT MINIONS.

Gamma Sector2 votes

I say this as a Tryndamere main with ~100k points on him. That matchups I feel useless in are the ones where I cant hit minions without being forced to use my q heal immediately afterwards.

Hi im 123 votes

what I wanna know is how tf did you lose to tryndamere as akali, the matchup should be unwinnable for trynd lmao

Listen mang, you cant be afraid to oppress Trynd at level1 before he ever even touches a minion for Rage. Every time he comes in for a minion, beat the piss out of him. Force him to use that rage to heal so he cant all-in you with a full rage bar.

If you dont oppress him at level1, he wins the lane by default. If punishing him means u lose some CS, thats fine. Take that trade.

Exactly this, there are quite a few champs that this applies to, and it's a good rule to follow in general. Chogath Fizz Illaoi Jax Kassadin Katarina Kayle Nasus Qiyana Ryze Syndra Tryndamere Veigar Vladimir Zed Zoe

If you don't establish an early HP lead against these champs they will hit powerspikes at lv 2 / 3 / 6 and wreck your face in.

Give him the old aatrox ult. Instead of giving ms and self heal, it gives as and you have to kill somebody to revive. This wont affect his lategame but prevent him from getting a free kill at level 6

Nah, that honestly doesn't sound to great. How about this, when tryn ults, he spends rage and gains .5 seconds for every 20% rage he has in his bar. His base ult without any rage would give him 1.5<2.5<3.5 seconds of death immunity (increases with each level-up in R).

Then, after 1 second of ulting, he rapidly regains all of the rage he spent over the next .5 seconds (while still being able to stack more rage with auto's during that time).

This would add some more thought, strategy, and counterplay into his ult. First, when tryn ults, he's going to lose a significant amount of crit chance for a very short duration. Second, he will actually be able to, at max rank, gain an entire second longer of duration if he has a full fury bar, but will have 1.5 seconds less if he has no fury. 3. The combination of the aforementioned points give tryn OPTIONS besides just pressing R when things look hairy and gives his opponents a chance to negate some of his ult's power window besides just the traditional "CC him" argument, since now it will be more viable to engage him during when he has a low fury bar, and he will be less dangerous for a short window.

Of course, that would likely be a slight nerf overall, so some other small adjustment could be made to help him out.

LegendWizard081 votes

Play akali she rekts him play malph just Q him when he dashes to you btw you shouldnt fight with him i he has fury ( you said if jg cames he qs away first his e is his dash second you shoulnt be in his auto range so if he wants to trade he should use btw) btw pre six with no fury he isnt strong you can play jax to him also or ryze and just scale he is awful in tean fights unless you fed him but one thing is true if u rekt him in lane he can aplit and farm but only if his team is ahead if his tem isnt than you will destroy them because basically they have no top

Honestly I'd be fine with him if he couldnt ult through cc like stuns or knockups and especially silences

His ultimate is arguably the most toxic ability in the entire game. He just needs a rework

I think xerath ultimate is the most toxic ability in the game.

Sir that is an offensive comment. My opinions mean just as much as anyone elses.

Play Quinn/Kennen/Teemo. I know you don't want to hear this, but counter matching is the best way to play right now.

Okay so I know Tryn can be under whelming when he is behind. However I am convinced that he is broken and has only remained unerfed because he isn't played often.

When people found out how effective midlane Soraka was she was spammed for weeks until riot gutted her, then reworked her in what she is today. When Fizz was wrecked as an assassin and people started playing him AD, he exploded all over toplane - even after Riot un-neutered his AP build people still spammed that until his ult was changed to only work with magic damage. Same think with Tank Ekko, same think with AP Yi, ect. Simple powerful OP champs have always been spammed by everyone until Riot panic nerfed them.

Yet somehow, Tryndamere is OP but just no one plays him? There's an OP character just sitting around, waiting to be used, yet for some reason he isn't spammed all across the game by everyone? Did you think at all before you posted this?

Trynd is a noob killer, strong in solo queue, and borderline useless in pro play.

Try beating the shit out of him before he starts building range. If you let Tryndamere maintain healthy rage throughout laning phase and early on you are going to lose. A level 1 or 2 Tryndamere with a full rage bar is extremely strong, a level 1 or 2 Tryndamere with little to no rage is extremely weak.

Pls, riot needs to rework his ultimate, he will become the most BALANCED and Fair champion in the game if they give him an ultimate that requires skill.

Its just his rng, and r that are annoying and toxic, but he is far from being broken and I just checked your match history and u lost to him as akali.............. like how?? Literally just free passive procs 24/7 on her lol

Tryndamere is Tier 1 for a Full VGU. While it won't be anytime this year, there is a possibility of next year or 2.

He is in dire need of one. As a Barbarian, all he ever does is split push and 1v1 when his ultimate available. I expect more "Barbaric" action when Riot gets around to it.

Trynda usually takes out just 1 person out lategame with his ult (you need to play against very bad players to do more than that). Other faceroll champs can get a pentakill easily(I have played him alot at some point and remember getting only one penta), idk, if you don't believe me check any data mining site for pentakill stats of Yi, Kata, Twitch, Yasuo etc... Trynda has clear weaknesses. Anyway, his cd on E is too low these days, imo, with ER. Nerf this and buff/rework his Q/W.
