HELP WITH PLAYING AHRI PLS

okay, so ever since I bought Popstar ahri, I've been literally trying to learn how to play her. I got challenger ahri as well (despite the fact my main mid champ is lux) because it was pink (Don't judge me), and I'm just realllyyyyy bad at ahri. Last game I played with her was 8/12/8 and I was mirroring lane as well. I've played about 3 games with her though, so I don't know much, but do you guys have any tips for playing her? I'd just like to make laning easier and if you'd help that'd be great.

SHAMELESS BUMP

Just the basic stuff like having efficient last hitting and wave control, buy wards to have some vision control so you don't get ganked before level 6 which can easily happen. Look for openings your laning opponent gives you to land charm and orb combo to chunk them, try to harass with your orb from max range so that both damage portions hit at almost the same time...

Just practice basically.

Lol I'll definitely do that, thanks for your advice :)

If there's one thing you want to remember when playing Ahri, it's to land as many Charms as you can on the enemy. Charm increases AP damage done, plus it keeps them from attacking you for a while. Usual combos I go for are E -> W -> Q. If you're past level 6, E -> R -> W -> R -> Q -> R can work wonders for you, just so long as you land that first Charm.

Edit: I'm trying to practice some mid-laners, if you want to play against me for some practice I wouldn't mind.

It looks like you are new to the game, or at least compared to people who play ranked. I attempted at looking ya up in ranked, but i could not find it anywhere. I think just time getting used to high mechanical champions will make you a better player, even if you feed or doing really bad with a champion that just means you have not mastered that particular champion are you are facing an enemy who has better mechanics. My first main was Ahri, and at the time she was considered a very strong pick for her ganks and general mobility when she ults.

I think you just need time learning how to play high mechanics champions such as Fizz, Zed, Ahri and you will get good with her :P i also see you are playing in team builder, i suggest you play in draft or blind simply because i play team builder as well but i sometimes get paired up with masters and people that are just simply better then me. Getting completely floor stomped will not help you learn anything :P

Oh, and buy wards! Ahri is really vulnerable when her ult and down and you need all the vision you can get to keep out of danger :D

haha thank you so much! It helped me a lot :) and yes, I play team builder but I main support so it was pretty much my first time going mid in team builder XD whenever I do blind or draft mid always gets called first so I kinda just played team builder to ensure I'd get mid XD
And yes, I recently hit thirty so no plans on playing ranked yet!

I'd tell you to buy DFG, but it's getting removed next patch, so I would say avoid buying it as much as possible so you don't get accustomed to it.

Anyways, the biggest thing to learning Ahri is learning how to land her charm. If you can get it down (and it's a decently easy skillshoot), the rest of her kit is fairly straightforward and safe, and she's never really wanting for damage at any phase of the game.

Haha thanks! And yeah, I'm not really sure what to build anymore with orianna now that dfg is removed :/

I would say Ori doesn't do well with DFG anyways because her big thing is her AoE damage. Even if you're behind, as long as you can set up a wombo combo, you'll be able to win. DFG only let you kill one guy really hard.

Really? Well I'm not quite sure, because they were pretty major items I built on orianna and lux after I got enough gold. I don't know what to build on these mids though; maybe a morello for the mana issues or athenes... But I built dfg on all of them so now I guess I'll have to settle for some other options.

i was putting a lot of effort into learning her myself recently, but with the removal of DFG imminent id sorta given up on her.

just dont spam her charm in lane and try to make sure you land it when you throw it out. you have mana problems if you use it too much and its more important to save your mana for Qs to waveclear and proc your passive.

outside of lane once you have DFG try to predict enemy movements and hide in bushes for easy charms to get yourself fed. once you get a few kills you will have great waveclear and do a ton of damage in fights so you can group and push down objectives easily.

Haha I want to try playing her well despite the removal of dfg, even though it's unlikely it'll be often (mid is almost always called).
