There is no reason to ever purchase this item, since Random Champion Shard (50 tokens) is guaranteed 960 BE minimum.

Could designate this a noob trap.

Ok, to be clear, the guaranteed minimum from a (random) champion shard is 90BE, which is what you get from disenchanting a shard for a 450BE cost champion. in order to figure out the expected (not "guaranteed") average, we'd need to take the BE from disenchanting each cost-tier with the number of champs in each cost-tier and do the math, which would look something like this:

(90*14)+(270*21)+(630*25)+(960*53)+(1260*32)

Which comes out to an expected average of about 785BE per token, with a distinct risk of getting less.

So really, it comes down to "Guaranteed 1000BE for 100 tokens" or "somewhere between 180 and 2520 BE for 100 tokens".
