Winning in early PVP

I've jsut started playing LoL a few days ago now and have played quite a bit since. In coop vs. AI (bot) games i generally do decently, however in PvP my performance is almost always average or below average and always seems to be at least two players that look like they know what theyre doing more so than everyone else. This leads to them killing noobier players (like myself) and getting fed and it snowballs from there. I don't think i'm playing that mechanically bad, so is it the matchmaking? Should i play more bot games to practice? Because I dont really feel like playing loads of PVP and losing every game, not that i dont like losing, because thats just a part of playing, but because if im losing everygame in the same way (^) then i cant really get better and it unmotivates you to play the game.

any help appreciated, thx!

Hey!

I can only assume your level of play, of course, so let me ask you this: Are easy OR intermediate bots still a challenge to you?

If they really aren't at all, I see no reason in continuing with playing bot games. Players will be harder to play against and this too takes some getting used to. The person who introduced me to league made me play against bots until lvl 15 and that was before intermediate bots were introduced. Your enemies in PvP will only get stronger and there is nothing new to be gained from the experience. I got crushed by players back then, and hard.

Don't get me wrong. I am sure the problem you're encountering are Smurfs playing at that level because they need to boost their fragile egos that got hurt as they're getting dumpstered by lvl 30+, so they focus on new players. Or people that got banned for poor sportmanship and now need to do a total restart from level 1 too. That is the sad reality of lower level league of legends.

All I can suggest is keep to doing what you are doing right now and learn as much as possible from the experience. The higher your level, the more balanced the matchmaking will hopefully become. Additionally, if you have any friends playing, try and queue up with them! They can help you and hold their own against smurfs.

Don't let idiots ruin your fun!

Thanks man, I'm lvl 9/10 atm (cant remember which) atm. Against intermediate lvl bots i do okay but i wouldnt say i do 'well', most of the time i get a 2 ish kda (5/2/10) something like that, but if im playing a champ ive never played before, itll be more like 3/3/10 or something. Do you recommend i play against bots till i do really well everytime?

Primarily I say play whatever is most fun for you!

I know people that started playing against players almost immediately and never bothered with bots. Personally, I say get experience against players as soon and as much as possible.

You can add me too if you feel like playing sometime, then I can maybe help you a bit as well/support you on lane or similar.

Cheers.

Yeah sure sounds like fun, I'm a relatively quick learner and none of my mates are gamers lol
