A dodging system in ranked/draft champ selects

Hello all!

It's not a really rare sight to see someone dodge a ranked or even a normal game, because of the matchup, teamcomp, or just simply the teammates behavior in the champ select alone. And now, that the 10 ban system is getting live, more and more champions get banned, almost permanently(rip one tricks), or just someone gets autofilled, and dodges, to escape from the support role. Since it became such an average thing to dodge, and lose LP and time because of it, I believe Riot should think about something like this:

Every single ranked game gives you a certain amount of dodge points related to your in-game performance. For example, if you reach at least S- rank on a ranked or normal draft game, you get 25 points, for at least a- you get 10 points. It would cost 100 dodge points to leave a champ select without getting ANY punishments. It would be a bit similar like ARAM modes reroll.

It can be sometimes really annoying to start a ranked game, and when you finally decide to do it, you have to dodge, because you have a troll-ish team mate, or simply someone already starts to flame in champ select.

What do you think of this system? What would you suggest? (sorry for bad english though, I'm not really used to write threads like this :v)

The glaring hole in your solution is this:

the problem you are presenting is too much dodging; In your words: "it became such an average thing to dodge". But if you allow people to dodge with no consequences, than there will be more dodging, not less.

So to balance out the hand-out you have created, you need to increase the first dodge penalty. Right now people can dodge once with a 5 min wait timer. but if we make your system, because you have created a dodge-with-no-penalty in the system, than you need to make other dodges less frequent i.e. the first dodge needs to cost more i.e. bigger penalty timer.

A second problem I can see with your system is that you are using the "S-rank" grading system. You are treating the grading system as a reliable method of determining one's performance in the game, which it is not.

if you got an S if it possible you did crap in the game. It is also possible you got a B+ and carried hardcore.

Honestly, they should just increase the amount of LP to like 7-10. That would, in my eyes stop a lot of dodges. They also need to make the wait time longer. Should start at 15minutes and go up from there. and if you dodge more than 3 times a day, you get a 1 week ranked ban.

The point is to NOT give incentive to dodge in any situation. You make 9 other people have to go through another lobby.
