Should I have a champion to get a chest for S rank? I havent Sona (she is on freepick) and got S. Have no chest for this, but my friend got one. For my game, my S rank freind got a chest and I doesnt. Its some kind of joke? [zombie-brand-mindblown]

If i dont own champs, I cant unlock chests wich given for 5 Mastery lvl. But should I have a champ to unlock S-rank-chest? Official hextech page says nothing about that
Mysticman892 votesYou do need to own the champion to get an S rank chest for that champion. Rioters have pointed it out on these forums, plus it's in the wiki, although you're right the support page for hextech crafting doesn't seem to mention this detail.

Theo Raven1 votesSomewhat the same issue on my end, S on Lee Sin (I own him) yet no box. I can still receive 2 boxes and on my profile it says that I got the box but I haven't.
