Confidence of Play

So, I was maining mostly Jungle and Support for quite a while when I decided I would try playing more games as an ADC. Usually, I noticed when I played those specific roles, I would do much better if I was strategic/cautious when fighting and making plays, rather than going all in. But when I switched to ADC, I noticed that timid play sort of got punished (I would miss kills, run away from trades, forget to try and zone out people for free CS). As an ADC, Ive noticed that rushing in without regard for a lot of things you usually should be careful about can win you games very quickly.

On a scale from 1-10, 1 being running away from all Champs and sometimes minion waves that were too big, and 10 being trying to turret dive Bot lane at level 1 with Heimerdinger, how much caution/confidence does each role need, and why?

More calculation than caution. If you understand all the info you have available, you can make educated plays where you know the result. The only time you should be cautious is when there's unknowns IE missing enemies or unknown jungler location, too pushed up, etc etc.

Depends on the champion and the situation really.

That sounds like a good way to feed hard as an ADC if you start going against competent players.

It's typically more reliant on the champion in question than an entire role like you're asking for. Burst ADCs like Graves breaks the rules of traditional ADCs and generally are perfectly fine with being up in the enemy's face, whereas hyper carry ADCs need to do everything they can to avoid getting caught for the majority of the game since their forte is long range artillery above all else.

Confidence is merely knowing you got this shit danger should be a nuisance, not a hindrance

it's hard to explain cuz I find it so dam intuitive
