Is really any way to carry as adc in season 8?

Hey guys i've been wondering if i should switch my main role....i've been ad main since season 4 i ended last season at gold 2 almost on promos, since this new preaseaon started i dropped to gold v 8/10 games i get a support that cant do his role, 6/10 games i get a support that cant play his champ, 4/10 games i get some autofilled support that after being 0/4 says hey i got autofilled. im pretty sure its fine to say i win my lane 70% of my games, despite the fact of my support playing good or not. When im not winning lane i just try to hold it untill i get some help from jungler or a roam, still i just cant carry a game alone. I have a s3 account and i just cant get it out of silver playing adc, i do win way more games playing any other role, support included than playing adc. I allways try to snowball my advantage bot getting tower to roam or pinging drakes, but it seems nothing works. Some games i end up having a red trinket as adc being the only one trying to clear some vision...i've been trying everything and its by far the hardest season to be able to carry as an adc. I just had a game against a karthus jungle, a karthus wich didnt got invade how is this possible, how does any jungler doenst invade karthus in his own jungle?!at 10min i had mid ekko roaming bot gp ulting from top karthus ulting from jungle jhin ulting from bot while my team did nothing...how is it even possible to make games like this playable.

ADC is the strongest carry role in the game. So it's more than just possible.

If you keep winning lane but losing the game, then perhaps your teamfighting is a point of improvement, as in, maybe you're getting caught out, or getting zoned, or not hitting the right target.

Or maybe it's your post-lane farming. As an ADC, even if you win lane, you still have to stay on top of farming so you can scale, since that's more important to you than any other role. If you're close to 80-100 farm at 10 minutes, aim for 180-200 by 20 and 270-300 by 30. Kill jungle camps, go push that side lane, minimize idle time. Good luck!

honestly i just decided to do not play as adc in my second account...there's absolutly nothing u can do as adc when u have no team, no one provides vision, no one lets you farm, no one peels or gives you the infinite small protection (like exhausting the right person) you may need to do what u meant to do. I'm loosing games doing scores like 17/5 and im loosing games where every single lane looses and junglers are unable to give the small help to snowball a winning bot lane or take any objective.Im having games where even my support leaves me 1 v 2 to help other lanes wasting summs and ultis and coming back to lane with nothing without taking some advantage of it. Sad but i think support and jungler's influence on the game is just too heavy atm for an adc to solo carry ( or if not solo carry to get your team back into game)any game this season, i end up games without one single gank or roam even if having 3 times a 4 man gank, some games even 5 man. As adc if im not fed or heavy farmed i cant 1 v 1 a tank, i cant 1 v 1 a support, i cant 1 v 1 nothing in the game, and i have no tools to give the necessary contribute in team fights. Safe adc's are shit tier with new runes or just got nerfed (besides maybe ez) Without a team that has team mentality and deep knowledge about how does game work and what we need to achieve victory you're just useless.

The thing about "AD carries" is that the name implies that you "carry" your team. So most noobs go in alone thinking they're doublelift and get shit on.

Two words will win your games as an ADC: Force teamfights

Sorry guys, but I cannot follow your logic. Your teammates are exact out of the same player pool like the enemy team. If you really play better (I mean the impact on the final result) the enemy has statistically a lower chance to succeed. Of course there are a lot of variations in this, but if you play enough games you should climb.

So the question is - and this is also a question to myself (as I am worse than you playing in Silver III and trying hard to get to gold): What can I improve? And this can be sometimes no hard facts like CSing.

For example I realized that I win more often with item 3025 Iceborn Gauntlet than with item 3078 Trinity. This should not be so strong related, but probably my positioning in teamfights is so bad that I am not able to use the power of Trinity in the right way like other players do. So I have really to work on that. And I am sure there are much more things im not good at - but its hard to figure out what it is, as losing always feels like someone in the team is throwing and playing shit - but on the enemy team as well ... so I can be the difference in the team (but currently im not, I play where I belong to be) ...

Placed in S2 this season, climbed into G5 in 50 games.

Silver is all about pushing towers and minions. Whichever team has more people pushing minion waves and towers SAFELY (without dying, constantly playing the Minimap), wins.

ADCs have the best toolkit for this Constant Safe Push play style aside from Top lane splitters.

To climb out, focus on moving around the map (always watching the minimap) and SAFELY but CONSTANTLY (where possible) hitting the minions and the towers.

That's it. That's the secret to climbing.

Good laning HELPS, good team fighting HELPS, good CS-ing HELPS... but its not necessary (you only need 50 CS in 10 mins, higher is better but honestly not necessary). 75% of team fights are a DISTRACTION and you should just keep pushing where its safe and possible to do so.

Literally, its an AFK farm play style.

The real game is you moving around the Minimap, not dying, and pushing waves and towers. Getting those Gold and EXP leads over the enemy team. You can close the game in 1 or 2 teamfights. Anything else is a DISTRACTION.

Once I realised this, Silver is a walk in the park.

The ADC isn't DPS... (except in a few fights where it does count, most of them don't)... 75% of the game you are a tactical minion/tower pusher. That's it.

You’re extremely delusional if you actually think this. If you lose lane, good teams will punish you long before you can afk farm to a point of being a real threat. A good adc should always have the most damage at the end of the game by a massive margin - outside of mid/top carries like gp, ryze, azir

The "good" ADC is on your team at least half the time statistically. In those games, you can power farm to a win (you can increase that probability even with Viktor/Vladimir if you occasionally launch GOOD roam, don't launch bad roams though they make things worse).

Even when the good ADC is on their team, I have enough confidence in my capabilities to carry from mid to late. Usually at those kinds of eloes, if their ADC is good, they have other weak links on the team (maybe the front line is dumb and will keep engaging on a single pick to fall into my AOE traps, maybe their Support won't peel etc).

I have enough Silver/Gold level mastery of Vladimir/Viktor mechanics to fight fed ADCs at least half the time. Its all about positioning to you can fire first before they can right click you to death. At 3+ items, a battle mage can delete ADCs so long as I've farmed enough to have even or ahead EXP. It doesn't matter what items they have.

item 3152 item 3165 means Vladimir can fight and delete ADCs if he fires first

item 3198 item 3100 item 3165 means Viktor can fight and delete ADCs if he fires first

if I don't have my items, I know how to play until I have them and the elo is low enough that I know that half the time, even if the other team is fed, they won't convert and close fast enough.

With 3+ items, they're going to need 2 Gold+ players to shut me down and statistically down in low elo, its unlikely those players are there.

I've won tons of games as ADCs by simply pushing waves and towers and never getting caught/killed... grouping maybe only three times in the entire game to team fight.

Third highest damage, but its the tower destruction and wave pressure that won the game at these lower eloes.

All valid comments, but you have to understand one thing which is very important.

Given the amount of trolls and smurfs in the game, in order to get to Gold you need to play around Plat5 level and to get to Plat5 you need to play around D5 level.

This is not my original idea. I had the same issue and many people playing at high elo have already highlighted the issue. Ranked has become a lot harder just because of the number of people playing.

It has made me understand that although I am playing at Plat5 level, getting there is a different story.

My suggestion for you is to duo with a friend who plays decently or if you have a smurf friend it can also help.

I main adc and I can tell you that its so hard to carry in this patch. Being in a low elo doesnt help considering that most fo the tim eyoure team doesnt know how to "form" around you. Just try not to get caught in teams fights and you should be good.
