1v1 probably Ryze.

If Ryze gets a friend to help him then probably Poppy.

Both of those are pretty good, especially Poppy and her bullshit ultimate.

But in a 1v1 no one beats Jax.

yes, but that true damage isnt nearly as big a threat in the late game as it is in the mid game.

ryze would win only because poppy will never get in range of him and if she does, she is too tanky to deal enough damage to a ryze with 3k hp or so

Well, also, we talking about AD or AP Poppy? Built right, an AP Poppy can easily pop Ryze with E-Q alone, unless he builds more than a ROA for health perhaps.

Considering infinite root just got nerfed, slight advantage poppy, especially if she was smart enough to get merc's treads.

The thing that makes poppy easily the best 1v1 duelist the game is because of her build versatility. Depending on who she is fighting depends on her build. there is a build to beat every champ in the game 1v1 as poppy and do it easily. for example, to beat jax 1v1 you simply ult him and fire off your full combo, run til CDs are up, repeat combo, if you cant land the tackle stun.... simply walk up, Q, run away, repeat. the only champ i've EVER had issues 1v1'ing is maybe warwick. however, if you go AP i dont care what champ you are.... fullbuild you will delete anyone.
