How is MMR this disproportionate?
Can some one please educate me on how MMR works in normal games? I keep getting games that are so one sided when I play with my friend. Hes silver 3 and doesn't play ranked very often, so we play a lot of normal games but when we do you get put up against games like this. This does that seem fair to me at all. I am not even level 30 yet, I am close but I don't think I should be going up against diamond players. If some one could explain this to me I would very much appreciate it, or tell me how to avoid this all together. Thank you.
Edit: I should have been more clear, I understand ranked and unranked have different MMR but to play against a premade 5 of diamonds and plats when my team was nothing above gold seems quite unfair. My friend and I were in a group but I don't know why we went up against a team like that. This is not the first time either this has happen.
