POLL: Positional ranked yay or nay?

If I get filled onto a role other than my main role (top) I either dodge or don't take the game seriously and I'm sure many feel the same, no one wants that on on their team and neither would I. Keep all changes other than postional rank.

If people get a role other than their mains, they don't have a reason to take the match seriously since they get rewards based on their highest, so their secondary positions straight up don't matter.

It kinda discourages people to try other roles imo. I don't have any problems with One-tricks, but I prefer systems which help both sides equally.

Idk why riot wants different ranks, its not like they will let me be gold in jungle and diamond in mid.

When I lose/win a jungle game its like +30/-10. So they won't even let me demote to the rank I belong because my main role is higher.

They removed more choices. You not only have an assigned role, but you have to stay that role or face punishments

On the one hand: players that want to play solo queue should get used to learning all 5 roles to some degree and be judged on their ability to play all five roles to some degree, and this continues the idea that they are all separate while making matchmaking a nightmare.

On the other hand: players are so pig-headed and ignorant of the matchmaking process that they think simply turning off or opting out of autofill is a reasonable idea, so "the right direction" is an impossible dream and positional ranked may be the best of a bad situation.

i have had so many arguments against the positional matchmaking, and not a single time have i felt defeated.

1. It discourages autofilling
2. It creates more one tricks, fuck one tricks
3. AND NO ONE EVER ASKED FOR THE SYSTEM TO BE CHANGED

Should have had an option for indifferent. I love the idea of it but in reality, I don't mind either system. Either ranked system is fine with me.

I am known to often critic the community whining but I honestly think positional ranked has too many flaws to be allowed to continu in its current state.

Too many way to abuse the system and the system will sometime "punish" you because you swapped positions. I understand the idea, I sincerely think it was a will to make ranked a better environnent and allow people to not feel punished by autofill and make them able to progress in game that are more of their level depending of a position.

But it is too flawed, Riot also overestimate people willingness to not be human piece of shit and improve. I don't pretend to have an easy fix, maybe make sure that a loss affect everyone normally? So no splashing, if you are autofill top and you fail, your main role take the dick slap? It is okay I feel because position rank disapear at high elo so it isn't like loosing 20 lp as a high master/grand master.

Riot royally fucked up in season 6 when they introduced flex queue as the only option. Ever since then, accounts have been boosted to extreme lengths. I haven't seen so much discrepancy in ranks vs actual skill when they whole thing started taking effect in season 7, and of course, it keeps on going until this season. Until this is fixed and players actually go to their actual divisions, it doesn't matter what ranking system we have, because the fundamental is wrong.

I had friends that I boosted from bronze to gold, I did that to like 10 people. Imagine how many people were actually boosting like me, unintentionally, of course, we were just playing all together and how many people are in gold now that were hardstuck bronze for seasons on end. Really, think about it. Bronze players playing in gold elo and a small percentage of them will get good teammates and go even higher. Bronze players in mid+ gold! If that's not indication enough on how fucked up the divisions are, I don't know what is. Riot can try to introduce many different fancy shit to try and make it the greatest thing ever, but again, they won't accept how much they fucked up the game with s6 flex queue shenanigans.

I'll say nay. However, I don't really hate it or believe that its ruining Ranked like alot of people seem to, but I just don't see any reason for it to exist.

Positional ranking is a great idea but it's just implemented poorly. How it can be better idk but I like the idea.

No, for one simple reason: Because of "splashing," your rank is not a proper representation of your skill in that role. It can't possibly be, because you're losing/gaining elo in that role without actually playing it. It's season 6 all over again. And if I subscribe to the idea that positional ranked without splashing can be too easily exploited/abused, then the whole concept becomes a pointless catch-22. It was self-defeating right out of the gate as it was presented.

If only they get rid of autofill in this ranked system it would be good. But if it stays like this, it will be a major failure

People that come to boards do care about league and have valid arguments to make. "Nay" won because of the unfairness of this system. If you work hard on something and truly enjoy it, why waste your time with anything else that's forced upon you? The whole point of this game is to have fun not be constrained by authorities, like we are in the real world.

It is proven to be a much better system.

I mostly like it, but I wish it had an exclude feature. I would totally just queue with fill as my primary if it didn't mean I have to go to the dark land where you get assaulted by Riven, Renekton, and Jax players who always get second pick.

Its the only legit way to play ranked these days.

Why wouldn't someone want to play 40 placement games?

the new rank system is making it so i don't play league. if the system is going to stay, at least make it so i can select only one role and wait longer to insure i get the role. if i had infinite free time i would not care, but i don't, and it's just not fun to spend what time i do have on a role i do not care about, making that time feel wasted. not to mention, prolonging the amount of time it takes for me to climb in the role i do care about. please change this system, either remove it or implement something like what i suggested.

The idea of positional ranked is good, but just an idea. The way Riot did it isn't that great.

I'm loving positional ranked so far. May just hit S2 support some time tomorrow. Missed out on that beautiful Ori skin last season, not letting that happen again.

I'm gold 4 top and when I want to do other roles I drop down to Silver 3/4 .. it really sucks dick because the difference of teamwork is huge.

I find that since you can play anything in bot lane... What does it matter? Game positions ha ha ha. I will just yasuo support now. Gold item... Heal off minion kills... Eventually get ult, 100% lockdown a support who cant do dmg. Now I snowball from kills/assists... let my adc die so i get more gold. WIN WIN WIN. [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]
