The New Cleaver and Gangplank

So, when i saw the new Black cleaver is was of course skeptical at first, so i decided to try it out. One noticeable change is how well it does with Gangplank, this is because he can easily get the stacks up, increases his speed and lowers the opponents armor. In addition his passive is dealing damage, and slowing them. Now im not asking for help with my build, but i run a tankier fighter on Gangplank, Armor, Magic resist, Tri and an offensive item. In most cases i purchase maw for safer MR and decent damage along with the shield which helps in some situations. But Black Cleaver is now a must buy for me when i don't need extra MR and the extra health is preferred.

Your thoughts on this?

Yes, i am unranked ATM, but when i do play ranked i do fairly well. I just prefer the normal games with friends due to the most often toxic and un-fun nature of ranked matches.

The one and only build for GP is: item 3078 item 3087 item 3074 item 3110 item 3065 item 3031

No armor penetration, no boots. Who needs them. Black Cleaver is nice but I'd build it only if I had a 8th item slot.

Why do you have Shiv and Hydra? Isn't that kind of repetitive?

Both synergize with Gangplank's Q. His splitpushing and Q burst are greatly enhanced by both items. What Darth Valer is providing an example of is a highly synergized light-fighter Gangplank build.

Trinity Force provides everything Gangplank needs and more (more Q synergy/burst, health, tons of speed, damage). Shiv provides splitpushing power, AOE magic damage, burst, attack speed, and crit (all of which are great on GP). Hydra provides even more splitpushing power, AOE damage, burst, and lifesteal. Spirit Visage works with lifesteal and GP's W for massive sustain and survivability. Infinity Edge works with Shiv and Q to provide ridiculous damage. I'd say Frozen Heart is a bit less good for synergy, but the mana is nice + it provides massive survivability.

TL;DR: Basically everything works on Gangplank; that build works with itself through Parrrley and citrus magic.

Shivv is for crit, mov. speed (so I can skip boots), poke power. Hydra is for waveclear and AoE lifesteal that grants strong sustain, particularly in TFs. Shivv is nice for pushing, but faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar weaker than Hydra in that department so I wouldn't say it's that redundant even by this point of view of the items.
