Why am I losing more LP on a loss when I'm on a winning streak?

So I have a bad stint of games where I was tilted, trolled, or afks. Mostly tilted. But after a short break I came back, started winning games with high win streaks 1 or 2 losses in between those win streaks. My MMR according to OP.gg is 3 division higher than the one i'm in, but I'm losing more LP than i win. I lost 1 game for a 20 LP loss, and my last game was a win for 18 LP. I know this should be the case if I was losing games consistently, but when I'm winning consistently shouldn't it be the other way around?

Remember, op.gg and others are making estimates so contradictions should be considered in reverse of that.

The exact method of how Riot's rating works is known by Riot. In an elo system, it does not just determine the rating of a player, but also how that rating changes and in an elo system losses against an opponent that a player should not have lost to have more weight than a loss against an equal opponent, which is really reasonable.
