So I ended the season Silver 1, and I decide to give League of Legends one more shot so I played my placements and I went 8 Victories and 2 Defeats. With that record I get placed into Silver 5. Is anyone having this fun bs experience that i am? fix your shit riot. You're losing customers.

Guren Yami2 votesI was platinum before the reset, I went 5 - 5 in my placements due to 2 AFK matches and now I'm demoted 2 whole leagues. Silver 1 for a platinum player. This is really stupid. They can't just throw former high division players in silver. In my placement games I was with high platinum and Diamonds so losing to a diamond wouldn't make me silver right? : /
edit: I ended gold 1 75LP due to mmr decay, but played 5 games to get back to plat in the pre-season. My MMR is estimated at 1584

What I don't agree on in this new MMR system is you need 10 wins to stay at your current level, any loss is a drop.

Out of all the samples that were sent in the highest I was given was 9 wins (more then a few). But I don't have a 10 win sample to comment, but the above was just a guess.

Really riot? Bronzies afk 40% of the time and rage quit the other 60%. I'm not a diamond tier player by any means but this system is obviously going to be a bitch to handle.

First time placing bronze ever I don't get it .. I placed s3 last season with 4-6?? Makes no sense my brother was G5 and went 10-0 placed b1 as well unreal

Sliickums1 votesGuys, realize that since they took away being able to go down tiers they have to do it this way. If you're really a gold player, you should be able to carry yourself back up. If not? maybe you got lucky getting to gold the first time.

Baintha Brakk1 votesIndeed. The players in the promos on my team were worse than usual too. I noticed in pretty much all of the games (after I won 3 in a row) each of the enemy lanes was competent and could hold up. I had to deal with our mid Malzahar going 1 kill to 12 deaths in laning phase vs. a Teemo and he also ping spamming me to fall back when I have only 2 deaths. Then he muted the team because he thought "we werent on his level", no one even made fun of him like what would usually happen with this community. We had a Sona support who built full-damage Lich Bane, Morello's and dived/suicided vs the enemy team to "prove a point to us" about grouping up.
Then last game there was a Kennen SUPPORT who accused me of feeding top lane and called me a "potato". He came to top lane at level 6, I was 1 kill 2 deaths and the enemy top laner was 2 kills 1 death, both level 10. I'll admit I died twice to ganks mostly and good turret diving but this dude was 3 kills 8 deaths end game as a support and his adc he was supposed to be supporting...was 1 kill 12 deaths.
I'd probably legit quit if I went 9 wins 1 loss in promos and still got Bronze with how bad it is stacked against us. Even if it is against unranked players and Bronze 5 you still gotta deal with them on your team too so winning 90% of the time indicates you deserve mid-silver at last.
Ratzu1 votesOr you guys can get good and carry yourself. I will admit the placements were bull, but if you are good it should be easy to climb lower elos. I got placed Bronze 3 and now I am gold. Dont blame not being to climb on your placements but yourself. Bronze is the easiest thing to get out of, silver not so much. But with a little grinding and a calm mind you will be out in no time.
Greeny0111 votesI agree with everything you said, but for the casual people who might only play a few games everyone few days, it's very hard to get out of bronze. I went 6/10 carrying all my games, and yet I'm still placed in bronze 5. At least put me at bronze 3 or something, I've been playing for years and the ranking never gets any better. They are hardly rewarding good players, but the people who play the game non stop, grinding.

ovo Views1 votesI started a new acc (previously got to plat V on old acc- but wasn't as skilled as other plats I would say, I started in bronze that season).
What I did this time around was main a single champ, and be decent at a secondary. So, Kat and Tryndamere for me, rank 7 kat from normals. Played her pretty exclusively. Was facing diamonds in norms, messed up my placements bad; had no adc + an afk in game 1 which trashed my placements, I ended up going 4-6 (was on heavy tilt). But I ended up in Silver 4.
The acc was fresh, and i went into ranked right after hitting lvl 30.
