Hey Meddler are there going to be any more little buffs to Azir before the mini-rework or do you plan on keeping him down for a little while longer.

Nothing currently planned. Azir's always been particularly problematic in pro play and we're seeing him get fringe play there right now which means we don't have any room to buff him at present.

well since nidalee ISN'T getting "fringe" play... can she get some more buffs?

Nidalee's not getting fringe play? I can understand ignoring the NALCS as there's zero real "competition" there, but from what I can understand her pick/ban rate is around 15% across the rest of the leagues, about the same as things like azir.

Cancer panther is exactly where she belongs.

and every team that picked Azir I watched lost their games. Everyone gets hyped up when Azir is picked and you expect to see some awesome plays but all you see is Azir falling back in cs early cause he cant pressure the enemy laner. Instead we gotta watch ryze doing 2k dps and Syndra one shotting ADCs. That is so much better....

TSM Bjergsen picked Azir and won, however, I agree he was much more fun to watch than the typical Syndra or Ryze. And the casters were just trashing how much on how they hate to see Azir in pro play. It got pretty annoying after they said for about the 10th time "I do not miss Azir in the LCS," when I was enjoying all of the awesome plays Bjergsen was making. I also don't think it's an appropriate balance philosophy to say that a champion was picked in pro play and therefore they must be balanced. It should be the champion's performance that matters, not the fact they got picked. For instance, Kindred has been picked on occasion but does she do good? No. She is always dumpstered. Which is exactly the reason she only sees "fringe" play.

That's dissapointing to hear, but I get where you're coming from.

Do you have a concrete direction on where to take Azir in his mini-rework?

you release a champion. Call him Emperor. Watch him be played and watched. And then you leave the champion many are passionate about as the weakest champion in the game for almost a year just because he was performing well.

just because he was performing well.

That's a little bit oversimplified.

There were good alternatives at that time too. Viktor for example. Assassins also did well against Azir just like long ranged poke champions.

Hey Meddler,

Are you guys going to look at how the recent plant ai change is impacting zyra's mid lane viability?

I'm a zyra main and she's by far my favorite champion. I prefer playing her mid and this recent nerf seems to have hit her mid lane the hardest.

Please respond :(

Maybe there should be different patches for competitive play and bronze...

I think the only problem Azir has right now is that his ulti doesn't feel rewarding. If they revert the change for the wall to last for 6 seconds, then I think Azir would be in a good state. It's not a problem of damage numbers, but utility I believe.

Tbh I see his E as the problematic ability. I checked my stats on him from last season. I used E less often than his ult.

His E lacks a component. There's barely a reason to hit an enemy with it (except maybe negating the last 2 ticks of ignite).

And you don't really want to do a Shurima Shuffle rn because that's the death sentence for your ADC more often than not thanks to mobility and burst.
