Nidalee nerfs

So for you who don't know riot is nerfing Nidalee so her spears and traps don't root jungle monsters anymore. So what was the reason for this? I mean I know her jungle clears are really fast so then Nerf the clear speed instead. By taking her ability to root away she pretty much can't clear the jungle at levels 1-6ish so now she literally can't play jungle once the patch hits. So unless riot somehow makes her top or mid lane better by buffing something she will probably never be played. Plus I just bought a skin for her :(

This nerf better not get to the live server in 6.6 and if it does they better revert it in 6.7

Her auto attack resets made her clear speed much faster than other champions. She could full clear and catch another jungle at their red.

They changed this nerf on the PBE. They made it so spears don't root monsters but traps do. Seems OK to me.

its doesn't make much sense for a spear to root though from a realism point of view. the trap does however.

Wait I think Nid's root from traps is also being removed I'm not sure on this though. I guess I just have to learn how to clear camps a bit differently (if anybody has a PBE account could you confirm if traps still root or not)

It's almost like Riot is intentionally making her the next Yorick...(useless)

I believe they're currently keeping the root on traps but removing it from the spears.

This is all still on the pbe and subject to change.

if someone can clear jungle with Ashe and no leash, you CAN clear jungle with Nidalee and a leash.

I'm more worried about them taking away her animation cancelling when she changes form, because following that trend only shows how much Riot wants to lower the skill ceiling on champions and level the playing field between baddies and pros. They already did that to Alistair. I'm not sure if they're still looking to remove the animation cancel.

She did deserve a nerf though, because she's OP at higher elos (High Diamond+).
