Idea for exhaust

This is just an idea, not me saying how I think it should be, just a thought that came into my mind today.

Should exhaust also reduce the damage from ignite and smite, like it does all other damage? It could play a bigger role in baron/drag steals, or in bot lane maybe help against a support that took ignite over exhaust.
