League Changes, take 2

So after about a year break, I come back to league to play some games.

Noticed they removed dominion. I don't know why, I liked that game mode. At least ARAM is still here. That's my favorite mode.

I go to try the classic mode, non-ranked. There is a new and fancy interface and lobby. I like that you can choose a role you want before matching.

Things happening fast in the group matching window and I miss pop-ups. Maybe I'll catch them next time. There is some warning message too which I close.

Someone in chat tells me, by name, not to ban zed. Okay, why are you tellin me this? I notice that people are choosing to ban toons in a normal 5x5 game. I think that's weird, did I by accident hit ranked play?

I watch bans happen quickly until it's my turn. I tell my party that idk who to ban, cus I'm returning and have no clue what's meta. People start to tell me ban zed. Others tell me to not ban zed lol. I was also scrolling through the huge list of available toons during this.

At the last second, I choose a random icon cus idk who to pick... I was too late and the system kicked me from the matching lobby. Before if you didn't pick a toon in RANKED, it would just move on with one less banned toon. It was in itself a penalty.

I was like, okay, that's new as well, and tried to queue again. I was hit with a classic 'you have to wait' drop-out message. But I was kicked by the system. Time to wait was 5+ mins. Well that sucks too.

I wanted to share my pitiful experience and tell Riot to remove banning of toons in non-ranked play. It does not belong there. It's stupid in my opinion and makes me think Riot peeps have their heads way too far into esports and can't step back and look at how some changes affect all players. Personally I hate all forms of esports, but I understand how nerds like it and want to make money off of it.

Next time I'll just pick a random toon to ban and won't give two shits, cus that's what the system wants me to do in this non-ranked matching. If my team gets upset that I haven't picked a meta ban, tough luck. I will continue to play the match and ignore all the hateful comments, which is to be expected in league.

I only made this post because of all the changes I seen Riot do, it's rare for me to see a bad, thoughtless one, or one that not been hazed by the game's esports phenomenon. It's bad enough Riot plasters the client with esports pics everywhere.

PS. This is my second posting of this cus a moderator deleted it. Seemed that I chosen the wrong sub-forum. Why can't they move threads to the correct sub-forum anymore with these fancy new forums? At least he was nice enough to send me a message about it and point to the correct sub-forum. I would have liked to respond to his message, but I don't see a way to do that.
