Rek'Sai feels underwhelming

Reksai's champion concept is pretty cool: a dangerous alpha predator who hunts her victims through vibrations felt on the ground, ambushing them when they least expect it. Currently, I feel that her in-game status does not reflect that in any way and kinda leaves her in an awkward position between squishy mobile assassin or a built beefy tank with no innate tank stats. Let me explain:

Her burst is pathetic. A tunnel dig into knock up, followed by 3 queens wrath and even with a furious bite won't do very much but tickle the enemy. Not only that, she has to use her ONLY escape to be offensive, and she lacks the damage to justify her use of her escape offensively. It's also sad to see that she's listed strictly as a fighter but loses most fights with other fighters. Her damage is not high enough for her to risk getting into fights without using up her only escape.

Her Q in burrowed form is useless in a lot of scenarios. I understand its primarily a tool to grant vision, but why couldn't it also have been a tool for her to catch up to her enemies? When I first purchased her, I assumed her Q slowed enemies when hit, but I'm sure a lot of other people were just as surprised as I was. Reksai has a very hard time sticking to enemies once she engages (poor damage she has doesn't help) and she's pretty nortorious for being kited easily. I've had champions literally just walk away once I burrowed and there's nothing I can do to make them take me so seriously because I have no sticking power. Her presence is very weak because she's slow, predictable, and easily outmaneuvered.

Also, her ult is basically a attack speed multiplier if you're behind. Enemy domination of the map means little to no tunnels and your ult becomes useless.

Don't get me wrong, I love Rek'Sai and her concept is just freaking awesome, but she feels extremely underwhelming to play as you get kited for days, lack damage to finish off enemies, and is basically a knock up bot. Does anyone else feel the same for her, or do just blow chunks as her?

How can a champion with such an overloaded kit be underwhelming? She literally has everything you would want in a jungler.

Gameplay for bronze never fails. Really complaining about one of the strongest junglers spot in the meta......

This thread is really incorrect. Idk wat u mean by she doesnt hurt.

She is up to par with the lee and elise jng. Reksai is everything u need in a jng

I don't play her but my thoughts would be as follows.

Anyone with that much mobility in a early game and rotation based meta is probably strong.

Anyone with a strong vision ability such as tremor sense in a low vision meta is probably strong.

Whether this converts to aa rek sai player being able to solo carry I don't know. But I think you will still see her a lot as the op get tuned down.

You can't be serious... Rek Sai is unarguably one of the strongest junglers who continues to dominate from plat and onward. She is on the same level as Lee and Elise.... she was one of the most picked/banned junglers in Worlds.

This thread is nonsense.

Anyone who played launch Rek'Sai would feel that the lack of her previous damage means that she's bad. This is mainly because they didn't understand what the champion was supposed to do, and facerolled all day long. Whereas now, while you cannot instapop squishies, truth be told she STILL does a fair amount of damage! Riot never once touched the damage of Furious Bite, which solidified her success in prolonged fights. She has everything you would ever want in a Jungler, and the flexibility of a build that can be Assassin, bruiser, or tank based.

I'm honestly not quite sure what is making Rek'Sai flounder in the current meta (as earlygame is the thing that's stronger now), nor am I sure what kind of buffs the Xer'Sai would need. These are the levers that Riot could work with: tunnel speed, Q damage, or the Unburrow knockup radius. This is IF she needed buffs (which I feel aren't necessarily merited).

The reason why release reksai was really strong was because her Q was a metric shit ton of bonus damage really early on. it made her an incredible duelist... something i wish riot had kept. It would be really cool if her "sound" vision extended to more than regular vision and you could also see when attacks were made.

The reksai nerfs on her Q basically took away her dueling potential and made her a kind of bruiser jungler. At this point, removing her Q and reworking it is the best option, because its just.... very lackluster.
