What do I do?

I went back to playing support, haven't played it since season 3. The last time I got Gold was when it was ELO and there weren't ranks, since then my entire goal has been to get back into gold. I picked up Soraka awhile ago, but now she's banned 95% in my games or someone picks her first. So I stopped playing her because I like to play champions that don't have a high % pick rate and I can probably play 9/10 games. By the way I'm Gold II now and moving up, which is a huge achievement for me.

My question is, when I play support (Janna) what do I do when my team just kind of feeds every lane, and I can't do anything about it. Now let me get something clear this isn't a "My teammates suck and are a bunch of feeders" discussion, I'm not trying to create that impression. I'm simply trying to state that there are games that I play where it seems like I can't do anything. My ADC goes 0/6, my top lane goes 0/5, my jungler can't gank and ends up going 0/2/0, and my mid laner is like 1/3/0. And I'm just a lonely Janna 0/0/1.

This is the biggest problem I have currently have, these types of games happen very frequently and are actually becoming more and more of a thing the more I climb the ladder, If you look at my match history (If you choose to do so) you might see what I'm talking about.

Am I getting this across to anybody correctly? I'm really trying not to blame my teammates, but it seems like there is absolutely nothing I can do. Do I just lose these games? Move on, I mean I'm still climbing! So it's not like I'm stuck in a rut, but it's just really bothering me that sometimes I can't do anything about my team slowly losing. I feel like these games are just supposed to be lost, that's what it seems like by the way.

TL;DR. I main support, my team feeds, I can't do anything as a Janna support. So I slowly wait for the game to end as I watch my team die over and over again. Is it possible to salvage these types of games, or do I just lose them and move on.

The current meta also made these type of games more frequent, if you don't play smart you are gonna be snowballed to the wall. My best advice: don't play support if you know you are able to carry/pick a support that is able of killing and carrying like Sona.

could you comment my thread pls? http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/TAegmiY5-masteries-that-dont-workneed-a-change

yeh pretty much just lose.. if every lane is a feeding fuck you lose. If you have a decent lane, try to either get your lane snowballing, or help the lane thats doing well and hope they can snowball.

Take Rammus, would be my suggestion. There's not a great deal you can do when your team struggles, if you're a support, but... Rammus can at least get strong enough to solo the enemy carry in the late game, and it's always nice to have a tank in team fights. Rammus can take the ADCs or squishy assassins out of fights long enough for your team to burst them down, giving any fight good odds for 5v4 in your favor. With that, you can sometimes turn around a bad game.

Before you go "... Support Rammus?" consider the armor stripping on his taunt. He's a slow starter, but once he gets Taunt to level 3 or so, it makes botlane fights very tilted in your favor. He also has two pretty reliable methods of protecting his carry. Once he gets Thornmail, there's nothing to fear from the enemy ADC. Backdoors are a thing of the past now that homeguard is inbuilt.

If you do go Rammus, get ready for a slow, farm-heavy laning phase and be ready to taunt the enemy carry as soon as they try to engage. Play for the mid game and steamroll late.

A second suggestion would be AP Nasus. You'll want to rush item 3070 or item 3028 because AP Nasus is extremely mana-hungry, but with AP, his E becomes a table-turner in teamfights, and his ult will make you a threat to any team who's ahead and cockily leaps into fights without thinking. Wither is extremely effective at protecting your lane from ganks, or shielding your carry from ADCs that initiate well and like to fight and supports that rely on positioning to poke, and it can take the carry out of teamfights by destroying their attack speed, again setting up a technical 4v5 situation.

EDIT: Another thing about AP Nasus is that his ability to clear waves is unparalleled. Especially if you build item 3115 on him. This means that if your team is behind, you can often focus on keeping lanes clear of minions, giving your team the time they need to farm up, equalize the levels and turn the game around. (I'm not kidding, a group of minions in three or more waves all grouped around one of your towers will fall in 2.5 seconds against AP Nasus.)
