there is really no correct answer here. there was somewhere written that you are shielded for up to 6 or 8 games for tier rank. and 4 games for a division. you should also see a warning on your profile page if you are about to get demoted. however countless players have told that they had been demoted without any warning after just 2-3 losses or even 1. it really depends a lot on your MMR, which is hidden, and impossible to see. so nobody really knows the truth.
