Is ranked fine or is the system flawed?

Now hear me out before all the "if you are good enough you'll climb"... i know that!

But, isn't a system that is designed to tip the scales in one direction or the other slightly flawed?? Like, is having a 50% winrate really a must, or should all games be 50\50 chance to win??!

IMO, i think ranked should work differently, sure lose LP when you lose games and win LP when you win. But should you really be losing a standard 17/18 every game even when the loss is unavoidable??!

What if the LP loss was based upon your game performance? Like how we now get S+, S etc etc... so if you have a really good game and lose, you lose something like 75% less LP. If you win with an S+, you gain 20% more LP.

Encourages people to try hard, will stop tilting and giving up so much. Just seems a fairer way of judging an individuals rank, rather than basing it on the performance of 4 other players..

I am only thinking out loud from soloQ experience and recently dropping from gold 1 promo's to nearly demoted to gold 4.

Kind regards

Jazzy

Its impossible to make anything completely even unless you control factors on both sides. Which you could never control team members, and the ability to effectively play the champions they pick. The ranked system accounts for how many games you play and how well you do in those games.

You are never going to rank up if you never play, and you never do well in your games. Rank is just a reflection of how much you no life the game, and how well you do in those games.

You can control some factors to tip the scale by being less toxic, always playing with friends and communicating with voice chat, and limiting your champion pool for mastery of kit.

So get popular, get decent, and kiss ass.
