As someone who enjoyed old Aatrox, I have to say I don't think you understand how crappy that ability was. Sure it looks kinda like a mini Galio ult, but only the center is a knockup which was buggy and hard to land, and for the longest time it was interuptable

That should just be current Aatrox's ult activation frankly. Fuck the minion fear.

It's still on new Aatrox, you just need to get 3rd Q and flash onto someone.

I want Kayle's Q to be similar to old Aatrox Q, causing her to fly upwards and then dive downwards in a line with her sword pointed ahead of her. As a frequent Kayle player before her rework, I think she should be more of an agile fighter in exchange for having lower range and less damage. It would have a similar range, timing, same damage, etc., but it would re-position her near the end of where the Q is targeted at. She would use it to dash through targets, skirting in and out of fights along the edges like Irelia. It would put her in a potentially more dangerous position during laning by moving her near melee range on targets, so she would need to be able to build more durability. Her W base heal should restore % health in order to encourage more durable builds. To pay for these changes, she should lose her final passive upgrade (true damage) and she should have lower attack range from her passive (Urgot range on her new ranged basic attacks, but current Kayle's full range kept on E).

This would improve her gameplay and better fit her thematics as a winged angel. She would soar around fights, dashing 'into the fray' for a quick skirmish, moving in and out of melee range, engaging in fights then ulting for AOE damage, then relying on her new durability to escape with her W. She would give melee opponents more opportunities to fight back against her due to her reduced range and because she couldn't poke with Q without going in on her target. Removing her unnecessary true damage on her ultimate would make her lategame a bit more reasonable, allowing her early and midgame to be rounded out to encourage a more interactive laning phase. Tankier builds would also reduce her damage output.
