Sooo.. i was in silver with 1228 score... then i went into the new placement games and win 8 out of 10. Great - im heading for silver 1 or maybe gold 5..
Well no - i get placed into bronze 3 with a score of 940 - Lower than i have ever been before....?! what the hell is this?!

Dark Nephthys2 votesYea I think the reset on the placement was a bit to high or something and I'm also some what in the same situation although not as high as your drop. I was in Silver 3 with about 1297 score and won 6 out of the 10 placements and was put into Silver 5 with 1150. Though I guess the score I had before hand (and probably the same situation with you) weren't really a trust worthy source of information, that or every just drops a lot of points no matter your situation.

Yea and maybe if you did matches with other people that might of also had an impact on it. My friends and I did dynamic que for about half of the games so maybe that was why I dropped a bit more than I'm use to (maybe you were the same?). One of the matches we were facing a Swain main that has been playing since season 1 and had over 2600 ranked games as Swain...Lol we didn't stand a chance lol

Please read what Riot says. Everyone complains about where they got placed if they were Gold or lower.
Also, 1228 isn't your true mmr. That's just a guesstimate from other sites. I'd say you were prolly Silver 4-5 last season, which means that starting Bronze 3 is higher than you would be if you went 5/5. You have less to climb than others in the same boat.
PixTron1 votesMe too. I was Silver III last season. Got 7-3 (7 wins, 3 losses) in promos, and then get demoted to Bronze V for no good fucking reason. Then I've had 2 friends, both in Gold III. One gets 7-3 (win-loss) and the other gets 6-4 (win-loss). First one got Silver V and the other guy got Silver IV. And even worse, I had a friend who was in Silver III (just like me), got 1-9 (1 win, 9 losses), and he gets in Bronze II; 3 ranks above me with a much lower score. Wtf Riot. Get your shit together, because this is just a bunch of RNG BS that no one's gonna tolerate.

PixTron1 votesI wish I could. I mean, the other team is always so organized and normal. And then all the 0 LP Bronze V players (and me, usually at 30-99 LP) get stuck on the other team. So it mainly takes luck. And I only have 2-3 friends that I can duo/trio with that are almost never online. So yeah, the whole thing is a luck situation.
Also, why aren't you calling the other guy out for posting his rank drop?

You're right about the luck aspect. However, both teams have equal chance of being complete d-bags. Play support. When I first started I was Bronze 5 and Leona'd my way to silver.
