Proposed Balancing Change For Kalista

The change proposed is simple: remove the scaling from Kalista's passive hop distance, but leave it on her Q.

Justification: what makes Kalista most difficult to catch is her refreshable, short-hop from her autoattacks. As you upgrade your boots in the hopes of one day catching her, she upgrades hers. Her hop distance scales, your efforts and gold are mostly negated, item 3070 follow.

This change is intended to result in weakening her aa-hopping as a kiting tool while keeping its strength as a repositioning tool. However, since the passive without the scaling reduces her hops to a rather short distance, it gives champions without instant gapclosers a chance, while also rewarding champions who actually get to her by allowing them to stick. Keeping the scaling on her Q increases its value and hopefully combats the notion of her being "gutted". Vayne does just fine with her Tumble having a cooldown. Kalista should be too.

Lastly, I leave with a question regarding Kalista mechanics since my play with her is limited. Would a decrease in hop distance decrease the "loss in attack speed" I've seen reported due to lag time created by hopping? The implications of this are interesting, my first thought being that she could kite and cover ground as effectively as before, except it requires purchasing more attack speed to do it. Would aa-hopping replace ms altogether in combat? Bootless builds utilizing the likes of Zeal for small ms increase but more importantly, attackspeed?

TL;DR: Refer to first sentence

What if instead

You remove the damage on her W, and add the jump distance to it
