Runescape did it, World of Warcraft did it and League of Legends is doing it

Killing the game and ignoring their community. I remember reading something about the rise and fall of empires and how every empire had similar errors and downfalls, it is in human nature, I think something similar exists for games and gaming companies that grow popular.

RIP Season 3.

Overwatch came at the right time.

I take it you've never actually played WoW or know anything about it because WoW killed itself from listening to the community too much. Do some damn research.

Warcraft was released in 1994, Blizzards World of Warcraft in 2004 on the 10th Anniversary.

It's 2016.

That's either 12 Years of the 'Current Franchise' or 22 Years if we take it to the root of the Franchise.

WoW is still a Top 3 Played Game... in the World.

It hasn't died, and it's over 20 Years Old.

Runescape was released in 2001... that's 15 Years. It still has players on "Old/Original" Servers, and New Servers. It's not dead, either.

That's the issue with this... neither of those games is actually dead. Both still make money.

If you can say "15-20 Years, and still in the Business", you do more right than wrong. Which is what Riot is looking at... how to SUSTAIN, and they do it without a Monthly Subscription.

Community killed wow. Runescape is still kicking but it wasn't the developers that "killed" it. Overwatch will never be as good as late s2 and s3 LoL. It's not as good as LoL now. It's just new and people will gut it eventually. Just riding the hype.

I was just wondering, if you guys could read my post that I posted. Its a take on a matchmaking algorithm that could potentially solve our problems.

Yeah, it's sad Riot decided to kill the game's competitive spirit.
