Not getting Midlane

These past 2 weeks, I have been trying to queue as midlane because that's what I prefer, and it seems like Riot does not want me to play that position and would rather want me to play my secondary almost 90% of the time. Is anyone else experiencing this? What's going on? Because prior to the 2 weeks, I would 98% get midlane and now I just always get my secondary and it's starting to really agitate me.

I heard on boards that someone was constantly getting their secondary role (mid). So I guess algorithm kind of works out funny. Don't know if they plan any changes to it?

Mid-lane is the most commonly desired role.

As such, it is also the most common secondary role (since that gives players the best chance of getting their primary role).

Basically, more people want it than are needed to fill it.
