What is going on with the galio rework? Is he a tank?

Why is the new galio being made into a more of an ap fighter, his passive and e literally involve punching something, and ult looks more physical then magical, but the thing I really want to know, why is tank galio already nerfed so hard in the pbe, he's made of stone and is suppose to be some sort of protecter right?, well shouldent he be a tank? Will tank galio even be viable when he comes out?

He's a support. He's tanky, with a lot of CC, and a bit of poke.

They want you to build him like the old one, ap. I dont think that is right because he cant sock up much damage as he is mainly a top laner but can go to mid

Im just really butt hurt that i cant build ad galio if i wanted to, getting rid of an ad scaling on literally a punch makes no sense, and like if you look at most ap champs, they use spells, but nothing about galio's passive, e and ult are spells.
