It takes half of the time to reach lvl 30 from scratch now. The whole experience of having to guide everyone like a bunch of toddlers is frustrating, its not fun, you don't concentrate on playing the game, you actually lose more energy trying to make a bunch of apes listen to you, but they never do. I had a lucian adc face check every bush despite explaining to him not to because he will die to the fed riven. it was such an easy win, we made it to the nexus but instead of finishing the game he decided to ult and clear the spawning wave, we could've easily won, but he DIDN'T LISTEN. toxicity is a ban worthy offense, but refusing to cooperate with the team isn't.

This is a team game, people should be punished for not TEAM PLAYING

they have to be placed silver because of the basic fundementals of how the MMR elo system works, so it has to start your MMR dead center. it just so happens to be silver.

if it started everyone at the bottom (bronze) it would actually be impossible to climb.

If they only put new player sin Bronze, Riot would have to actually do something about trolls in order to keep players. Bronze is an artificially non-merit-based system simply by virtue of it not operating like other divisions - you can't lose your way out.

If players don't feel like they did this to themselves, and that if you're good you can climb, they'd quit. Because whether you want to admit it or not, whether your self-worth can tolerate it or not, Bronze is a carnival game designed to make you lose. Not intentionally, I don't think Riot meant for that, but it's the result you have when you have a system propping up vagrants, bums, and malcontents while hamstringing decent people who do enjoy the game, the community, and the climb.
