Idea for Swain's Nevermove

Swain "I'm five steps ahead of you."

As we all know, Swain is a champion that has been weak for quite some time now. His lack of mobility, unreliable lock-down and the amount of time he needs to scale up have left the grand general of Noxus in the dirt for much too long. He's supposed to gut the worm, not be amongst them!

So, as a step towards bringing Swain back into the limelight I propose an additional function to his W, Nevermove. This would be the ability to SET Nevermoves as traps instead of just having them immediately cast. Think the Emperor's 'Dreary Cell' attack in Dissidia Final Fantasy.

Like the Dreary Cell, the set Nevermove spells would give off a clear indicator of where they are set (not visible in bushes) and would have the same delay to activate as regular casts of Nevermove (which would be doable by using Nevermove within a certain vicinity of an enemy champion). This would of course be limited to just 2 or 3 set Nevermoves maximum and neutral mobs/enemy minions would proc them by stepping on them. There would also have to be some kind of prevention to Nevermove stacking.

I feel this would push the feel of being a master tactician, routing enemies around and into your traps, into your clutches. The delay of Nevermove and strict limit of how many can be set would avoid the toxicity that Teemo's ult is hated for to this day, if you are caught by one of these traps it would feel like he earned it.

In addition it would also be usable defensively, setting traps in your side of the lane to keep people off of Swain until he hits his RoA and other early items that help him really get going.

What are your thoughts?

SWAIN. WEAK. K.

Edit: To expand a bit, if you use Swain's Q on an enemy before his W, it makes it extremely easy to hit.

SwainSHOulDN":TBEBUFFED

Although I do like the push towards master tactician, a strict buff sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

I mained Emperor in Dissidia, and BOY was he annoying to play against 8) sometimes I'd watch my friends try to navigate around my labyrinth of traps, and just keep tapping starcall just for the laugh he does at the start

While i don't think he's weak I do think this is a cool idea

Swain is not weak, he is vastly underestimated. He is balanced, but please don't break him.

It would probably make him feel more tactical.
